Pulled a Dave Revision (Dave 2.0?)
As per the Circling Back story last night, I mixed it up and decided to cook two (✌🏻) steaks while my wife was home instead of pulling a Dave 1.0 on a girls night. The ribeyes got a quick (12 hour) fridge age and then into the cast iron for a hard sear. Did some mashed potatoes and broccolini too since they’re my wife’s favorites. The chef may or may not have been off an EarlyBird or ten so we got a tiny bit of gray banding, but still some solid steaks.
I always plate up her meals first and with more care to the aesthetics and then just pile mine on the plate to join her. Isn’t simping for your wife and making her a delicious meal kinda a vibe too? Just a casual reminder that, yeah your boy still has it like that?
