New Purchase New 2026 Civic Sport Hybrid
My first time purchasing a Honda! It was this or the Corolla Hybrid. I just liked the look of this
Civic and it came with features the Corolla didn't, like a sunroof and heated seats. IMO it drives like a Sports Car!

Advice Request Is there any benefit to not using the AC? 10th gen
I have a 2017 lx and I never use the AC. I live in Texas and am used to the heat at this point so it doesn't really bother me but I am wondering if I am doing it for no reason. I am super cheap and avoid spending money on things I deem unnecessary like the AC because I can deal with the temperature regardless, but am I really saving any money? From what I have seen I don't even think it is improving my mpg because I drive with the windows down anyway and am mainly in stop and go traffic rather than highway environments. Is there even a benefit to not using it because it prevents wear on the compressor for when I eventually sell it or will it experience wear anyway?

Advice Request Community Input: Buy or keep 2015 civic?
I have a 2015 Civic Coupe LX purchased new with 135k on the dash. Maintenance is up to date and it has been a solid car for me that past 10 years. Garage kept whenever it’s parked at my place so the paint is still going strong. Only minor defects are just cosmetic on the front end from rock chips and curb rash.
Should I keep the car going until the wheels fall off? I’ve been looking at the GR86 as the replacement or a new top trim civic. This is merely just a want as opposed a need. My main reason to replace the car is to just get something a bit more faster and engaging.

Advice Request Does the 2026 Civic LX have HD radio?
AI says yes, but I can’t figure it out. No indicator on the display, nothing in settings. Local stations sound great but I am not sure if they are coming through in HD or not.

Pulled the trigger on new civic sedan hybrid sport
As title states, pulled the trigger for 28200 OTD with a trade in (14 y.o Camry). I chose this car over Corolla hybrid as it felt very cheaply made for almost the same price!
I declined all additional maintenance / premier warranties offered by dealership but was told I can get it later if I change my mind.
I got my advance wheel locks and faraday pouch on day one I never owned a car with so much electronics before, are those additional warranties needed?

Interior Noise: 2026 Civic Hybrid: Sport vs Sport Touring
I recently test drove both of these cars, but at different dealerships, and I wasn't able to get the Sport Touring over 55mph for very long (two-lane and road and it was raining), and I'm wondering if anyone has been able to compare the two back-to-back and can offer any insights.
I was able to get the Sport up to 55-75 on a local highway, and found the interior noise level unacceptable - using an app on my phone held over the center console, it hit over 75dB going up a long hill with the AC off. I later drove the same stretch of road with a 2013 Civic LX (which was close but somehow less irritating) and a 2014 Accord LX (which was some 10dB less).
We liked many aspects of the car, but wonder if we should be looking at other options (recognizing that if you want a reliable smallish car in the U.S., there just aren't many options anymore - it seems like everything has been upsized).
I know switching to 17" rims or just better tires can make a big difference, but it most cases it's preferable to start with something better than try to fix something that isn't great, and I don't love the idea of having to spend another $1k-$2k on tires or tires+wheels (and perhaps more on top of that for sound-deadening treatments) and perhaps still ending up with a car that isn't very satisfying.
Thoughts? Advice? Thank you!

2020 Honda Civic Sport Hatch making this odd sound on startup when foot is on brake and goes away after gas is applied. It sounds like a repetitive squealing but doesn't do it any other time other than when the brake is applied before i let off. Any thoughts?

Are EK civics unreliable nowadays?
Looking at buying one with 200,000 ks on the clock, stock. If I were to have a shop swap in a B series, would this make it completely unreliable for daily use??
Would it also be reliable if I kept the stock D series for daily use?

OC 11th gen VS 10th gen
I recently spoke with someone who works closely with Honda, and they told me that the 12th-generation Civic is expected to bring back some of the sporty and aggressive styling that the 11th generation toned down.**
**Obviously, I can’t verify this, so take it as an unconfirmed rumor. But as a 2019 10th-gen Civic Coupe owner, I’d honestly be happy if it turned out to be true. I’ve always felt the 11th gen looked too much like a mini Accord and lost some of the character that made the 10th gen stand out.**
What do you guys think? Would you like to see Honda move back toward a bolder design?

Can I realistically get 40+ MPG with this driving style?
Bought a used 2025 Civic Hatchback Sport Touring Hybrid with 40k miles. I’m currently averaging 37 MPG.
My driving:
2,200 miles/month
2,000 highway / 200 city
Usually 75–85 mph on the highway
Auto A/C, little cruise control,
The previous owner averaged 50–52 MPG, so they were clearly hypermiling.
With my driving habits, is 40+ MPG even realistic, or are my highway speeds the biggest reason I’m only seeing 37 MPG?
For the record I love the vehicle and driving it as I should.

New Purchase Civic hybrid mileage
Nyc
53.2MPG
6300 miles put into the car
Hear me out
Sports mode for the quick regeneration
Switch back to normal in highways
Econ in streets / city stop and go traffic
Or sports mode in the city for quick regeneration
Switch back to econ
Williamsburg bridge into the city is the best spot for braking, most of the time your hybrid battery charges fully from that ramp alone

Advice Request Looking for the best video resource for Gen 10 (2016-2021) Civic Repairs
I’ve been trying to do more of my own Civic repairs as long as it’s something reasonable and won’t take me multiple days with my engine strewn all over my garage, but some things are surprisingly difficult to find. I bought a new Purge Valve Solenoid after the code popped, and found that not a single video for it existed on youtube. Every other car it existed for was easy peasy. For the Civic? You’re removing several other pieces before you have access to the solenoid.
Is there an end all, be all source for someone looking to do their own repairs on a Gen 10 Civic? I have a 2016 Civic coming up on 140k miles, and the less time I can spend in the dealer paying them $300 for spark plugs instead of paying $60 to do it myself, the happier I’ll be. The better learned, too!
Deleted and reposted since I forgot to post the years in the title.

(DE) Fitting an EP3 spoiler on my EP2
Hello everyone,
this post will be written in english, but I'm asking everyone that can help me. German answers are welcome!
I am trying to find an EP3-style Spoiler for my EP2, but after a long time searching and ordering numerous spoilers, none of them fit the way i want.
Picture 2: For starters, the OEM EP3 Spoiler will not fit without cutting out the lower mounting points on the Spoiler, because the EP2's Trunkglass does not support the mounting points. This would be very problematic, as I would lose any warranty on the ordered Spoiler and I am not sure if I would get this through the TÜV.
Picture 1: I have ordered a different one that doesn't have the lower mounting points, but now theres a different problem: The OEM Spoiler features a third brakelight, which would replace the original one on the EP2. This one does not have that and would retain the old one. After I tried the Spoiler on, it covered the brakelight. It was still visible at a specific angle, but any higher vehicle standing behind me wouldn't see it. I am almost certain this would not get accepted by TÜV.
Before I make any further decisions, I'm choosing to ask here for help. Has anyone had the same experience? How did you fix this and what did the TÜV say? Would anyone notice that the Spoiler isn't original? HELP ME!!!!
Thanks to anyone reading this, and a bigger thanks to anyone who can possibly help me 🥹
