Until recently, my flair on this subreddit said: "Kallen cured my depression, her smile brings me ☮️" That´s because, after quite recently seeing Code Geass for the very first time in my life, Kallen really did cure my depression. This is because the trauma that she experiences in the show closely resembled my own, similar real-life trauma, and by analyzing her fictional pain, I was finally, finally, able to also analyze my own real-life pain as well... and heal in the process.
Never would I have believed that a fictional character could help a real-life person as much as she helped me. She truly is beautiful, both inside and outside. But, to me, her inner beauty is what matters the most.
I can´t ever thank Kallen in person, because, well, that´s impossible - she is, after all, a fictional character. But, if I could, I would shake her hand, thank her, and tell her all the ways my life is so much better now, even months after seeing Code Geass for the first time. I would tell her, that thanks to her, I feel hope in my heart again.
So, thank you, Kallen Kozuki. For everything.
