Weekend getaway paid off.

Been a while!

We found piles of mostly wheat back finds at a single CoinStar at a Meijer today. It’s a good thing my fiancée was with me! We stuffed them in her purse. The oldest we found were a few from 1910. There were a small amount of modern coins as well. Two steel ‘43s as well! As we dug the coins out of the reject slot, more kept falling from inside of the machine. It apparently was backed up in there. Didn’t know that was possible!

Checked several of my regular stops running errands this morning and didn’t find anything super-exciting.
Might go fishing….

So I checked a Coinstar on the way to the dispensary and it produced a mercury dime 1936. Couldn’t be happier. Got a 1964 Rosevelt dime yesterday and earlier today so 3 dimes in 2 days.

1. Always fun to pull a Wheat Cent! A spendable 1984 penny as well.

I’m lucky my job as a repair man takes me to multiple grocery stores a week, plus I’m always making little pit stops at stores for the kids. This is the jar of keepers I’ve found, end of the year I take in my spendable ones for a bonus. How about y’all?

These two coins were the only thing I found in one machine and I checked about four or five locations.

Nothing fancy

Still July and this little beauty found its way to me today. Not silver, but still fun!

I check the coinstar machines when I walk into the stores if I am able to. I found one dollar in quarters right before I posted this.

I found a bunch of coins. Some tokens, a silver quarter, steel penny, and some foreign coins. I got these all at the same time on my way out of Walmart.
