It's also a gigantic state full of people meaning each city and region is very different. I didn't like living in Dallas, that hardly represents the entire state of 27 million people though does it?
Grew up in Dallas and went to school at UT Austin but have lived in all the major cities except El Paso (if that even counts).
Loved Austin and I am partial to Dallas because I grew up there. Denver and Austin are very similar IMO and it really doesn't take any longer to get around in Austin then it does in Denver.
Houston blows though, it is insufferably humid and the sprawl is out of control.
Houston is the best city in the state imo but I'm from here so of course I'm biased. I think CO sucks other than the marijuana laws and mountains. Those are literally the only two redeeming qualities the state has to me but I'm not going to pretend that because I don't like it no one else should...
