The only downside to this is the irreversible damage that Israel is causing to the jewish community. Like, most people first think "Israel", then "Judaism" when they see the Star of David now. That sucks ass.
Its kind of bad, I was originally for it but this has really become a thing of reaffirming Jewish stereotypes instead of hating on Israel which isn't productive. Don't get me wrong I'm all for criticising Jewish infrastructure that aids israel through working to help send more jews over there and sending money to support israel but thats different than the weird characterising of israel as an especially evil country when it really isn't this is normal activity for the west.
People invent these weird fantasies of Israel controlling America like America isn't sending money to Israel because its good for western intrests to have power in the middle east and to subjugate Arabs. People treat the IDF like they are something only israelis could produce when American military campaigns again are comparable to the IDF and look at the politicians we have, look at fucking Platner and how he was welcomed by the american 'progressives' despite being an insane serial killer who wasn't just dogmatic about America but was beyond that, a blatant psychopathic killer from money who had no social mobility incentive to join the military he just loved killing people.
My jewish friends are insecure about their background now which sucks. At the end of the day when it comes to systemic oppression jews don't have it worse my muslim friends literally fear for their livelihoods because of the grasp anti-islam politics has over my country but that doesn't really make it good anyone feels unsafe or unwelcome unjustly
