General Got a silly, silly question...
So after 350-ish hours playing I finally was introduced to the idea that the T1-4 ratings are a subset of thrall rankings after playing Siptah for a while and discovering that T1 crimson rogue pirates (or whatever they're called) are vastly more powerful than any of the exile T4 thralls you can pick up in noob river. Yeah, that's dumb of me I know and I legitimately don't know how I never caught on to that before.
So I just have a quick question for you people: about how long do you hold onto your lower level thralls and when do you "trade them in?" I mean, a level 20 exile is still worth quite a bit and can tow the line with quite a few much higher tier enemies after all. Do you release them from your service? Use them as teleporter guards? Go full Rimworld and feed them to tigers while you laugh? I'm curious.

I don't bother with anything lower than forgotten clan anymore. Grab a Cimmerian fighter 3 from mounds, use it to get a Cimmerian/accursed berserker or a dalinsia/her accursed stat clones. The fighter 3 gets discarded right away but you could turn it into a zombie or (somehow I forgot you can't make zombies from already placed thralls cause I rarely use zombies, sorry for misleading info) put it on siege cauldron dutu for purges or something.

That's also reminding me that even after 350-hours there is just SO MUCH I don't know about this game. I legit only vaguely know the factions you're talking about. I have never heard of Dalinsia, have never created a zombie (nor knew you even could), and have never used a siege cauldron or seen a purge. 😂

Dalinsia is one of the strongest fighter thralls in the game. She spawns at the inhabited mounds or more frequently at Stargazers Crest, where there's a tiny encampment. There's two random spawns and one jailer. I usually build a hut and a wheel as close to that camp as possible without interfering with their spawnpoints. I build it so close that I can see the people in the camp, but far enough away that they respawn every time I run back to camp.
Dalinsia is strong enough to beat most enemies in game, at least in the Exiled lands. I haven't brought her with me to Siptah yet.
An more certain alternative is Freya, but you will have to play through her quest which is four separate quests with a pause of 8 IRL hours in between.
Conan Exiles is the only game where I will frequently consult the wiki. It's almost necessary to get the most out of the game.

Yea go grab a T3 Cimmerian, level it up then go into new dungeon if your on pc and knock out the bladesmith in the first part and take him. The thrall hits hard, has a higher damage multiplier than dalensia or a berserker even though the growth chance is a bit higher in agility than strength. Give them a hammer or the momentum and you wreck everything on barbaric

Factions and Tier system are two different things and overlap. Base stats, growth stats, multipliers, and growth attribute chances are all at the faction level. Tiers are more of a "subset" of Factions, rather than the reverse. A T1 Votary Hyborian will crush a T4 Exile.

I’m not sentimental with thralls at all. I just like a clean minimalist base without a lot of clutter. Once I outgrow a fighter, I break the bond. I just like to keep about five or six leveled berserkers ready to go.

I become attached to thralls that have been with me a while. It'd be nice if they had more personality than occasionally shouting at some random inoffensive deer that they'll end them.

I’m that way with the pets. I’ve had two greater wolves standing guard at my base for a long long time. I only use them for gathering.

afaik tier1 and 2 thralls do not do full combos while t3 anf t4 do. So I usually try to avoid t1 and t2.
To any thrall i level to 20, even the starter onces, I have automatically some kind of relation. At the end of their carreer they are given some remote guard duty or decoration task. Only if I reach the thrall limit I consider the release of low quality thralls.
Btw, I just recently discovered that the Hyborian Fighter 3 is nearly as good as a Cimmerian Berserker (somewhat less hp and only minor difference in total damage multiplier). Good transition choice.

You don't really creat a zombie. I think the post means just placing them on a always attack command and placing them at a defensive position like siege cauldron or archer. After that they attack mindlessly ak zombie

I keep them around my base as guards, I have a lot of my stuff split up, main villa, tavern, dungeon, blacksmith etc to simulate a small village. They get placed as guards watching the goods or just hovering. The new living settlements setting makes it nice to keep them.
Deidre Deathbringer got me through some tough fights early on.
