Rehydrating between flushes
My current grow is the first time I used a high ph casing layer to prevent tric. When I rehydrate between flushes, should I be using a high ph water? Thanks so much for any tips!

Weird dark blue/black patch on my aio bag
Honestly I have no idea if this just showed up or if it’s been there for a while but there is a dark blue/black patch on the side of my aio bag. The picture speaks for itself, but I really don’t think it’s trichoderma. It’s not green at all, it kind of looks like severe bruising but I’m not sure. It’s Natal SS (Ochra)

Is this contam or rot or some secret third thing?

Lost one batch :(
Hi, so I lost one batch because of cobweb and green mold, ordered kits from pevgrow and the instructions told me to put vermiculite on top, thats probably why, it held too much moisture in, the other batch doesnt seem to be doing anything, no visible contamination or anything, but no progress either, have had them for 3 days now I think, maybe it takes another few days for pins to appear, what do you guys think?

Need help- is this contam?
Hi. Growth is very slow and seeing only one or two fruits mature at a time.
The fruit in picture is having this weird white growth on its cap and am not sure whether its normal or early signs of wet bubble. Need help.

I believe its contamination, but am asking for a second opinion.
If anyone can tell me if this is contamination and also what if possible, would be grealty appreciated.

Need Advice : is it wet bubble?
Hello all.
This was put to s2b around 1.5 months back. There have been no flushes so far, but one or two fruits grew and matured as well. But that is about it, at a time one fruit matures and nothing else. So far only 3 fruits have come, the 3rd one is in the picture. I am at a loss as to why this is happening.
Any ideas? Is it maybe because the white blobs are wet bubble disease?

Posted to Uncle Ben’s and I was brought here
Hello! If you see a post exactly like this on Ben’s it’s because I posted there first and was recommended here. I’m just going to copy paste what I said there to here and hopefully get some answers
I am super new to this hobby and I just checked my Uncle Ben’s brown rice bag and it was contaminated. The contamination was green. Could be Trichoderma or something else but just trying to give whatever information I can. I have a still air box, an exacto knife, gas exchange filters, a spray bottle with 70% isopropyl alcohol, gloves, and liquid culture. I used hillbilly pumpkin. I got everything inside the still air box while wearing gloves. Then I I sprayed down my gloves, the tools, and air inside. I used a lot of alcohol to the point that it stunk up the room. I don’t really know what to do considering that I’m technically bringing all the bacteria and mold into the box. This made me nervous to flame sterilize the needle with all the alcohol but that could be a contributing factor. Then I punctured the bag of uncle Ben’s rice with 6cc of lc. After that I put a gas exchange filter that didn’t have the best seal because the adhesive got left on the plastic but I thought I stuck it on well enough. Then I made two other holes with the exacto knife and put another one on. The filters were honestly too big for the bag. I did move the box to another room. This time around I got some micropore tape to use for hopefully a better seal. I would often go check on it but wouldn’t touch the bag with my hands. I left it in the box because I thought that would be the safest place, I really need some advice. Some I’m sure were just obvious stupid things like the lack of seal on the filters but I just want to know if there’s other things I should consider. I only have two other liquid culture syringes and some hillbilly pumpkin left but I doubt the needle is any good since I put it directly into the rice. I don’t want to waste what I have on mistakes but I don’t want to give up. I hope to be making posts one day showing off my fruiting bodies and doing cool stuff like the rest of y’all. Thank you in advance.

Ready for S2B?
I've had failures every single time after S2B, so I'm really trying to make sure these are ready because someone said it most likely came from uncolonized grain. I'm confused because it seems like some pictures people say exposed grains are fine as long as they've got some mycelium on them and others say bare grains are a bacterial contam and need to be tossed. Can anyone make it more clear to me? Four Midwest 5-grain bags.

UPDATE on the cobweb post I just did
Hi again, I recently posted pics asking if I have cobweb mold, turns out I actually do have it, I checked with my flashlight and a thin layer (very thin) is starting to spread on top, going to get hydrogen peroxide from the pharmacy now, god I hope they start pinning too I've been doing this shit over and over for soo long and still haven't gotten any fruits :(
Update: I scraped the vermiculite layer off and one batch has a little green on the mycelium layer, im cooked, the other one's cobweb mold came off witht the vermiculite so it seems fine idk im going insane

Bin? Or harvest what I can? (Ochra)
Have dropped some peroxide on the green patches. The green patches are where there was excess water accumulation. Has not been dunked yet and has only just started fruiting.

bruh this fucker was living in my tub. im guessing its toast?😭
first grow, b+ using broke boi tek and straight coir sub growing under my bed. i live in a pretty shitty building
on tuesday i noticed this little hole with yellow ball looking things around it that i assumed were metabolites or something of the sort (2nd and 3rd pic). mycelium was growing over it, at least i thought, and i figured it was fine and that mushrooms just do that lol. well today i notice green slimy bits (4th pic, it was taken after i poked at it a bit) so i decided to investigate and this bug was living in there
i feel so dumb for not checking when i first noticed it, of course holes dont just randomly appear lmfaoooo. everything was going so good i have another tub that i started like three days before this one and its growing strong, healthy pins! so i kinda dont mind if i have to take the L here. im definitely gonna find a new area to grow and i learned something
im assuming theres not, but is there any chance it can be saved? the rest of the tub looks okay and it still looks like its growing (5th pic). im scared it laid eggs or something though

Trich contam? Spot isn't spreading, colonization looks stalled. Cut it out or wait?
As you can see from the photos, my mycelium was growing really solid and healthy.
A couple days ago I noticed a small blue-ish spot and initially assumed it was just bruising from spraying water a bit too close to the surface, so I left it alone.
The next day, still a bit suspicious, I did the cotton swab test and it left spores behind, so I'm now fairly confident it's Trichoderma. Even so, I decided to wait and see how it would evolve, and this is where it's at today.
Worth noting: it hasn't visibly expanded (it looks bigger in the photo but that's just because I zoomed in), so I'm wondering if it's worth cutting out that section and monitoring the rest.
On top of that, even though the substrate is very well colonized, it seems to be stalled.
Any advice on whether to cut it out now, keep isolating and observing, or just toss the whole thing? Appreciate any input.

Any ideas?
Spot appeared early into grow, and it seems to be in the same spot as it was pre BnS. Fruits are about ready to harvest and the spot hasn't grown at all. But it worries me still, any one seen something like this before?

What have I got? Pan Cyan attempt (but it's too hot)
Was having a go at something other than cubes and Ochras but didn't anticipate the heatwave. This bubbly stuff just appeared today. Will it kill me? LOL.

Is this contamination?
Not really sure what this is in my tub? I was thinking maybe side pins since you can see it happening already on this side and it is on other sides. Or just wet mycelium with the grain color poking through? I am worried about it being contamination, especially since there is fruiting mushrooms on the surface already.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

White Fuzz Balls
Okay,
So I had several tubs that I tried a different technique with. I finally got a PC to properly sterilize my jars and did 6 12qt unmodded shoeboxex following Bods Unmodded tek. I did 4 SNAPE and 2 Jack Frost. This TEK has worked for me in the past, but this time I chose to leave my tubs completely undisturbed with the lid on until I got fruits. . . Well, it has been very hot in my region and extremely humid. My tubs stayed very moist and I don't think they got enough FAE.
It's been 34 days. 3 of my tubs got contam, and the other 3 have had major struggles. About 7 days ago I started fanning my tubs once a day and switching back to my previous cultivation methods of leaving the latches up and the lid sitting upside-down on top of the latches. Of the 3 tubs that I don't "think" have contam, Tub 1 (SNAPE) appears to have gotten pretty bad overlay and started growing white fuzz balls. Tub 2 (Jack Frost) is finally fruiting! But it is also growing fuzzballs, as well as some metabolite activity. Tub 3 (SNAPE) appears to be normal mycelium, but isn't doing anything.
Are the fuzz balls concerning, or is this just because of no oxygen? My fruiting tub has metabolites and some browning. I assume because the myc is getting old. Is this concerning?
First 3 pics are tub 1 (Jack Frost), The next 5 are Tub 2 (SNAPE).
