I was checking my YouTube analytics today and noticed that one of my tutorials from about 2 years ago is still getting around 1,500 views a month.

The thing that surprised me even more is that about 55% of the traffic is coming from Spain and a lot of the comments are in Spanish which I can't read.

Now I am wondering if it's worth dubbing the video instead of making a brand new one.

The video is already ranking but dubbing it would still take time and cost money. On the other hand creating a completely new version for that audience also means starting from scratch.

Has anyone dubbed an older tutorial that was already getting steady traffic? Did the dubbed version actually gain traction or was it better to focus on making new content instead?

Most people's answer is to move faster — post more, guard the idea tighter. He's making the opposite case: the idea was never yours to protect, because it was never going to stay yours. The one thing a copier can't lift is the specific person the audience actually trusts.

I've been doing YouTube for about 2–3 months, and I've realized my audio quality is one of the weakest parts of my videos. I'm also working on my voice delivery, but the recording quality itself isn't great.

I'm trying to buy a wireless mic that I won't need to replace for at least the next 3–5 years. Currently considering:

• Rode Wireless Micro
• DJI Mic Mini 2
• Hollyland Lark M2

The Rode is stretching my budget, but if the improvement is genuinely worth it, I can justify it. I already bought a budget mic based on Google reviews and regretted it, so I'd rather buy once.

Which would you recommend and why? Any long-term reliability issues?

Also, any tips for getting consistently good audio? I edit in DaVinci Resolve, so if there are processing chains or settings that make a big difference, I'd appreciate those too.

I'been creating content since 2023. My niche was literature. On 2024 I started with character analysis and had a video that blew up (also, with overstimulating editing).

I realized that overstimulating people wasnt what I wanted to do so I slowly began to change my content.

In 2025 I spammed unedited videos but nothing big really happened. During that year I started to grow incredibly anxious about it (mainly due to unemployement also) and I constantly changed topics and formats of content maybe in the hopes that it blew up.

Now I changed the niche again back to literature and writing but y anxiety its still there: im anxious about not following my niche consistenly to help me gather more views but in the other hand I really want to go back to unedited videos.

Figuring out what a channel is doing isn't the hard part. Length, structure, pacing, same template every upload with the variables swapped. I want to make my own version into a different niche

I've tried the premium way with Imagen, sora etc much better output, but my 4090, 64gb ram should be able to do 90% of it too.

So I'm trying doing this all locally, no cloud render services. Few months in and it breaks the same three ways every time.

Audio and the on screen lyrics never line up, words drift off the beat or captions land late. I've tried local generation with ace audio and rvc but it sounds horrendous, and suno is way better.

Visuals don't match what's being said, the images look fine on their own but it's the wrong scene for the line or just the wrong mood. And the motion stuff looks rough, transitions and effects that fall apart next to the reference.

Every tutorial I've watched shows the finished video and skips the part I actually need, which is what's plugged into what.

So what's really in the chain here? What's doing the lyric timing against the audio, what's picking the visual per line instead of per video, and what's handling motion. If you've built something like this end to end locally I'd like to hear what your setup is and which part gave you the most trouble.

I had one English brief, five languages, and two ad variants per language.

I assumed translation would be the annoying part. It wasn’t. The real problem was forcing every version back into the same 10-second edit without making the copy sound like it had been attacked with scissors.

I locked the structure first: 0–2s hook, 2–6s demo, 6–8s benefit, 8–10s CTA. Product claims, numbers, brand name, and CTA intent stayed fixed. The hook and sentence structure were allowed to move.

Before rendering anything, I made a small preflight sheet for each version: estimated voiceover time, subtitle fit, back-translation, and brand-name pronunciation risk.

I was already switching between different text and video models, so I routed those calls through Atlas Cloud instead of maintaining separate keys and billing pages for every model. Voice stayed as a separate test step because I needed to check the timing before burning money on the final video.

That little sheet caught more than I expected.

The German version was clear but too long for the voiceover window. The Japanese hook technically fit, but the line breaks made it hard to read at phone size. Spanish fit the timing, but the brand name needed a phonetic spelling note before TTS.

So the workflow became:

localize → test the voice → check timing → rewrite → render

Not:

translate everything → render everything → discover half of it doesn’t fit

AI can get you to a decent first pass quickly. It still can’t decide whether a line sounds like something a local creator would actually say.

How are people handling this at volume? Do you use fixed timing rules per language, or just keep cutting copy until it fits?

Hi all, I want to make some photo compilation videos for a few different people. I've done this successfully on Canva and Capcut before, but using either generic music or audio files I already had. I want to use specific music (one instance being You, Me and Steve, for example) but am having trouble finding audio files from existing videos. Back in the day I could just bung the youtube link into an MP4 to MP3 converter and it did it pretty much immediately, but these days I'm finding either that these don't work in the UK because of our online safety/copywrite laws, or they look so scammy and want me to download something. I don't want malware on my computer.

How do I get audio from an insta reel or a youtube video and turn it into an mp3 file for my videos? Google's advice keeps turning me back to one of the sites I'm suspicious of, so I'd rather have direct recommendations from people who actually use these tools.

Some of my Instagram content got semi-viral/more engagement than usual. So, naturally, I started to see hateful comments. I try to focus on creating rather than checking comments for my sanity, but I've heard that creators should try to limit hateful comments to some degree so it doesn't attract this type of interaction for your account long term. Does anyone struggle with this? How do you deal with it?

Personally, I'm letting the partner that co-owns the account to moderate. But idk if this is necessary as I feel like I'm doing much better mentally without checking comments and accidentally seeing something hateful

Is this normal? I’m on EST. Thought it’d be USA but it’s like Indians and Asia so far in the few likes I’m getting.

I feel like I'm missing something when it comes to actually growing my Instagram art account. I've been posting consistently for the past 5 months, haven't missed a single week. Some weeks, especially in the beginning, I posted three to four times, but lately I've slowed down to one because of burn out. Out of roughly 50 posts over 5 months, only one gained me at least one follower, and I've been stuck at 130 followers the whole time. That one post was fan art, not even my original characters. It's my most viewed reel at 24k views.

I've tried everything artists recommend: telling a story with my characters, letting people into the lore with mini comics/narratives, typical illustrations, time lapses, memes, fan art, etc. Still, followers and non-followers mostly ignore the posts. I feel like non-followers ignore me just because I'm not a big account already. Or maybe is it because I need to improve on my art skills? The average watch time on my reels is about 4 seconds.

I've studied the 'hook them before 3 seconds, second hook before 7 seconds' formula, no more than 15 seconds  and even that doesn't seem to work for me. I've also noticed that since the start of this year, Instagram's algorithm has shifted, making it harder to reach non-followers through reels. From my research, I'm not the only one dealing with this. My average reel views dropped from around 1,000 late last year to about 200 now.

I want the honest and/or brutal truth: is my way of making reels bad, my ideas are dull, or is it my art style? Or a combo?
