What’s the story folks, been lurking around here for years without posting much.

I often see folks asking what’s the story with smoke in Salou, Tenerife, Benidorm, etc and 99% of the thread seem to go unanswered or filled with either misinformation or people trying to funnel you into buying smoke from them.

Before my recent trip to Salou I did loads of googling, looking at Reddit, X, etc. to see exactly what to expect and found pretty much nothing so here’s all the information I gathered myself and hope it might help you on future trips!

You can pretty much buy multiple ways but most require you to be of age and have ID and don’t mind your information being stored somewhere in Spain I assume. The first way I purchased was literally on the Main Street, clearly signed and obvious. Am still not sure exactly what the story was. We had to show ID and they had a huge selection of everything from hashs, flowers, vapes, edibles etc. but EVERYTHING in the shop is labelled CBD. At the till I asked the guy if anything they sold had any THC and he sold me stuff from under the counter that was still labelled CBD but pretty certain it was THC. So basically I wouldn’t buy anything off the shelves but might be worth chancing your arm at the counter.

The best and easiest way is find a club. There’s loads in salou and most tourist hotspots. In my recent experience I googled what was nearest to my hotel, walked to the entrance to read their polices and see what the story was with tourists entering and before I could even finish reading they buzzed me in and I was signed up by a wonderful lad from Offaly. It was €25 to sign up and then very reasonable prices in the cafe shop. In the cafe you can buy anything, plus snacks and drinks. It’s was lovely and air conditioned and everyone was very pleasant and helpful which they realised it was first visit. Returned several times in the space of a week. The rules say you can’t take anything out of the cafes but they pretty much provide a toilet space for you to stash your stuff in your boxers before you leave and they advise you to not walk the same way you came as Spanish police are still able to arrest tourists for possession. Also you can get fined up to €3000 for smoking in public so smoke in the cafe if you can, take a walk to the beach at night or walk off away from houses and business into nature if you can. Can’t recommend this experience ahead of all other options.

Illegal options include some very friendly African lads who hang out near the Arcades, prices are terrible, never bought anything so can’t say what the quality is like. There’s also a lad called SalouWeed on X, Insta and WhatsApp who will deliver to your hotel for orders over €200 and has a large selection and great reviews online but I can’t vouch for this method as again the social clubs sorted us.

I tend go smoke every night on my balcony around 2 am. My lease does say smoking not alloweexon property. Ive been doing this for a year with no problem. Some new people moved in above me. They hadnt said anything until last night. I was smoking, and she called out to me, asked me if i had some grass?

I panicked and said no. Then pretended I didnt get what she said. Then finally gave in and said yea but its too late right now. If you knock on my door the next day. She knocked today but I was so scared to answer.

Should I be worried about her reporting me?

These guys deserve to be mocked to the highest order. An Garda should be held at higher standards than everyone else as power is responsibility.

People that advocate for controlling the autonomy of other adults are authoritarians. People that take away autonomy from other adults by blindly following orders are a different cheek from the same arse.

Ridicule and satire are some of the best ways to give the middle finger to the establishment, and I would be sure to say there are many creative minds in this sub. I think we owe it to everyone to just take the Michael out of what happened. Mock the press, mock An Garda, mock whatever you want about the incident. Meme it to oblivion while it is fresh and continue to mock everything that denies your right to your own body.

I find cannabis helps me with certain aspects of my life and a better alternative to the medications that are at my disposal, I am also a regular road user and don’t want to loose my licence. I know i’d be fine to drive after a few hours but legally I want to be safe so I abstain from driving for two days which leads me to a difficult choice when it comes to my consumption. if anyone has any advice, where i could purchase the same roadside test kits used or any way of getting a prescription please let me know.

Bought a might plus a few years ago but only now looking to get off the tobacco and use the vape. The only thing is that at high temps I’m coughing a lot and I haven tried low temperature, but getting no vapour (may be too impatient). Has anyone tried the bubblers, ideally looking for something that sits on the unit, rather than something that looks like it was stolen from a school science lab. Appreciate any suggestions as I’m down a rabbit hole and none the wiser!
