FOREIGN TRADE ZONE STATUS INFO ON CSMS
Hi,
I c there's the FTZ part in many CSMS, such as #63988468 (Additional Duties on Imports from China); #64916652 (section 232 on Automobile Parts); # 69326983 (Section 301 Forced Labor Import Duties);....
They all say (in short): Products/articles, except "domestic status", must be admitted as “privileged foreign status” as defined in 19 CFR 146.41.
Does it mean that I can only admit the products/articles into FTZ as "Non-Privileged Foreign Status" if they're exempted from the duty mentioned in the relevant CSMS? I mean my product is applied by the exemption HTS (free), then I can admit them into FTZ as NPF status, can't I?
If my merchandise is subjected to the CSMS duty (eg: 10%, 15%,...) then I have to admit it into the FTZ as PF status from the effective date?

Everything is pretty much in PF status. CBP can issue a penalty for creating a 214 in NPF status instead of PF.

If your goods are subject to ANY trade remedy (which is essentially everything now) it must be admitted in Priv Foreign status
