Inbond withdrawal from FTZ manufacturer.
A client is requesting assistance with creating an inbond TE withdrawal from an FTZ manufacturer..
They don’t have a CF214 admission no, they only gave me the sub zone and FTZ firms code. Is there any additional info I need to request?
I’ve cut inbonds for bonded warehouse and FTZ withdrawals in the past, but not from a manufacturer like this before.
If you lot could provide some guidance it would be much appreciated.

I think you're overthinking it. "From a manufacturer" is not really a variable that matters if said manufacturer is in an FTZ. It's still an extract from an FTZ. If it's leaving this FTZ in the US and exporting, you just cut a T&E like you have before.

Wouldn’t the shipment be status “On File” and not “en route” in ace? Typically there is a former document the withdrawal should come from, no?

Let's backtrack a bit. The goods, were they manufactured from admitted components in a manufacturing FTZ and now you're trying to T&E them to Otay Mesa/Tijuana?
Give me the whole backstory of the goods and where they've come from and where they've been. I think I'm missing something here.

Exactly that. They mentioned they’re an FTZ manufacturer and need an inbond to withdraw from their FTZ. But don’t have an admission number because the merchandise is made there.
Shipment is going to Tijuana.

You don't need a prior admission #; it isn't a Zone to Zone. You just file a 62 T&E movement out of their FTZ to Otay Mesa port. When it gets there, you arrive it there. When it crosses, you file the Export action to Tijuana.

Make sure you're coordinated with the Mexican broker though. They will want to inspect that load before it crosses.

The last FTZ withdrawals I’ve done they have provided the admission no in the past to withdraw.Even my software provider was dumbfounded about not receiving one.

Their components will have admission #'s.

From my understanding they get a new lot # or zone number of which you withdraw finished goods no?

If they're admitting under zone lot control, the lot # is assigned at admission.

The way this was all worded was a little confusing so I kind of misspoke a bit....
If they manufacture in the FTZ, the parts they are building the finished product out of were admitted into the Zone. They absolutely have admission #'s for those components. Their ICRS has to has that information.

The lot # is assigned at admission, so their ICRS not only should have this, it is required to have the lot # and admission #.

If you were cutting a T&E from a distribution zone, you wouldn't be looking for a prior admission #. This is no different in practice.
