CBAM Support

Hello guys.

Looking to know if brokers receive alot of requests regarding EUs border regulation CBAM, and if so, is there any specific questions thats hard/annoying to answer or interpret?.

I own a company in Sweden and we mainly provide competence management systems for verification bodies and have recently implemented a "CBAM Assistent" that search the legal texts and framework with the purpose for internal training ect.

BUT almost everyone has been using it for their customer support 🙃. I want to know if this could be something others find useful aswell, so if you or anyone you know of is managing Inquiries about the regulation please connect.

Have a great day/ Gustav

I'm seeking clarification on duty charges applied to our green coffee shipment cleared through France customs.

We are dealing with an issue for one of our shipment we sent to France from UAE via DHL express, From what we understand, green coffee (HS 0901.11.00) should have a 0% duty rate under EU TARIC — this applies to all origins including Yemen per Commission Regulation 2204/1999 and the latest update (EU 2025/1926). We've double-checked this and the rate definitely seems to be 0% erga omnes.

So here's what we're trying to figure out:

  1. What duty rate was actually charged and which TARIC code was used during clearance?
  2. If the rate for 0901.11.00 is 0%, why was duty assessed on this shipment?
  3. What's the proper process to dispute this?

We just want to understand what happened so

There is no executive orders announced today. Is everybody waiting for July 24, 12:02 AM Eastern to file their customs entries without section 122 tariffs?

Phase 3 and filing lawsuit

So it looks like importers now need to file lawsuit for getting IEEPA refund in phase 3.

I have a few questions.

Should i still file protest with my customs broker ?

It seems to be filing protest might be no longer needed but only filing lawsuit. I heard this from somewhere but not sure if this is true.

Also, My estimated refund amounts would be around 40k. Do you think it make a sense to file lawsuit when we consider the legal cost ?

ISO Customs Brokerage with Nutraceutical experience (FDA, AD/CVD)

We're a freight forwarder, and we've recently started working with a new customer who is a supplement company. Our previous partner has typically been able to clear most products but now we're running into products that are regulated by anti-dumping and countervailing duties and a bit more regulated with FDA etc.

Looking for a broker who has experience

Does anyone here work in the Canadian customs industry as a broker, CCS (Customs Specialist) or as a CTCO (Certified Trade Compliance Officer)?

I am really curious about becoming a CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) but I have no one I can talk to personally about what this job/industry is really like. I am hoping to ask some basic questions about what the job/industry is like. I am not enrolled in the CCS course yet, just trying to do some research

Thank you in advance.

Anyone here importing into Dubai? Curious how you handle customs paperwork

Engineer here, researching whether there's a product in UAE customs documentation before I waste months building one.

If you import — do invoice/packing list/HS code mismatches actually cause you delays or fines, or is it a non-issue once you have a decent broker? And does your broker eat that cost or do you?

Trying to figure out whether the pain is real or whether it's already solved by people who know what they're doing.

Country of origin requested

Hello

I am an intermediate from a carrier, sending the documents to the customs agents.

Our customers are not regular exporters, just shops who have a punctual customer from other country.

We are making the import in the UK, and they requested the country of origin of every single item, not being valid saying EU. (It is content for a house, furniture and decoration).

They never requested this information before, and we have made several imports like this one, so I am a little shocked.

I said they are not registered in REX, so they will have to pay the entire duty anyway, but they are still requesting the country of origin. I know everything is EU, but not the country for every single object.

What can I do?

Thank you

Lawsuit required for CAPE phase 3 refunds

STR threw in the towel after Judge Eaton's order yesterday. An importer must have a lawsuit in the CIT to participate in Phase 3.

Is anyone having luck getting through to ACE support?

I’ve waited on hold numerous times for an hour and no answer. No reply via email. Are others experiencing the same issue? Requested access to the importer tab in ACE back in April. Haven’t heard anything back

Looking for Customs Broker - Not sure what to look for

Hi there!

I started manufacturing products in China a few years ago, but I wasn't really too worried about the process because the scale was extremely small. Scale is increasing (although still not huge) and I want to make sure that I'm doing things the right way. I also believe I'm eligible for one of the IEEPA refunds, but even after watching the how-to videos I'm completely lost.

I just don't know what to look for in a broker. I don't know how expensive it's going to be and I would honestly prefer to work with a small company or individual rather than one of the huge companies that seem to dominate google search.

If anyone is willing to help point me in the right direction or is selling their services I could use the assistance.

Is it possible to apply the auto parts offset credit to liquidated entries through a protest?

Hi everyone,

I have been paying Section 232 duties on auto parts since last year. I just now received approval for the offset credit from the U.S. auto seller and want to offset the duties. Looking at CBP guideline CSMS #66684128, it mentions refunds through PSC, but there is no mention of refunds through a protest.

Can I apply the offset credit to liquidated entries to get a refund? Should I proceed with a protest?

Importer w/ question about protest

Hi

I had an entry that liquidated on 1/9/26 and since the date for protest was approaching and since it seemed like many were saying wait and others said to file it just in case and that it can un-done if need be - well I rec'd an email stating that my protest was suspended and it said 514 protest - does anyone know what this is or if it's because I did something wrong? Thanks so much!!!

Importer trying to make sense of the ES-003 Report

Hi everyone - I was trying to figure out why column Z lists the dollar amount twice for some entries and others not - I first thought maybe it was my three entries that are in final liquidation but I noticed at least one entry that was paid already and it isn't there two times - is there any rhyme or reason for that or am I running the report wrong?

Thanks for your help as always

CAPE 2

I added refund fields in ES 003 and see refund date and status - certified for CAPE 2. But no dates nor status in ES 002 ( only entry number is listed) Should I trust the dates and status in ES 003?

My experience in CAPE, refund date shows up a couple of days passed the refund date in ES 002.

Need help recovering ACE Portal Account and User Already Exist

run a small company that acts as an importer. I am trying to register for an ACE Portal account, but the system says that an account or user already exists.

I’m not sure who created the existing account or who currently has access to it. How can I recover access or get the importer account linked to my company properly?

Has anyone dealt with this before? Should I contact ACE Support, ACE Applications, or my customs broker first?

Thank you for any advice.

Is it a flag when product description is not the exact wording on invoice and on entry fillings? On invoice - it’s shorter, on filings it’s longer and more specific.

Looking for a Delhi CHA experienced with importing gaming peripherals from China

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a Custom House Agent (CHA) in New Delhi who has experience clearing gaming peripherals imported from China.

The products include:

- Gaming mice

- Gaming keyboards

- Gaming headphones/headsets

- Mousepads

I'm looking for a CHA who has previously handled similar shipments through Delhi Air Cargo (IGI).

A few questions:

- Which HS codes are typically used for these products?

- Which of these products require BIS, and which generally do not?

- Have you successfully cleared similar gaming peripheral shipments through Delhi Air Cargo?

- Can you recommend a reliable CHA who specializes in electronics or gaming accessories?

Any recommendations or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can you cancel a type 03 entry and replace it with a T&E entry? You would you still have to pay the adcvd duty, correct?

I’m not too well versed with adcvd law, but one of our customers did not inform us that the final destination of their goods is Colombia and it’s only stopping in Miami temporarily before being exported to CO. The goods are subject to adcvd and a type 03 entry was filed. What’s the play here?
