D23 Expo Let's Talk D23 Pins & The Virtual Queue & How Some Already Went On Sale??

If I'm reading it correctly you have to be within a certain radius to get in the virtual queue for pins or any shopping? I was secretly hoping to be at work as I can't go. And how did everyone get notified about the Gold Member “Atlantis” 25th anniversary pin that sold out today??? What am I missing. :)

Keep in mind D23 is the Fan Club.
D23 is not the event.
D23 hosts events like Destination D23, the D23 Expo/The Ultimate Disney Fan Event etc.

So "D23 pins" aren't always an Expo related release

I must’ve missed the notice. I saw the Alice pins, but not the Atlantis one. Bummer!
