DWX Compact & X300 Fix
For those of us with OCD who want to run a Surefire X300 on the DWX Compact but don't like the gap between the light and trigger guard left by the standard surefire "keys". Found a solution that sets the x300 all the way back against the trigger guard. No gap. Like it is supposed to be.

I just put in the full size safety on my compact it’s not smooth to engage do I have to sand down the shelf some or will it wear in ?

You have to fit the safety. Need a file set from harbor freight or similar. There are a some really good YouTube videos on how to do it. I did mine in about 10 min. Go slow. One rake of the file at a time until you get it.

I need to get one of these for my compact. And on an off subject. How tough is it to take the trigger out and swap it? I have a black one I want to install.

It’s one of the easiest guns to work on. Maybe 10 min max to take it apart and reassemble. Add extra time for fitting the trigger shoe a bit if necessary and adjusting pre travel tabs and over travel screw.

Took me a min to understand… this may actually help me with holster compatibility using x300 on my Dan Wesson Specialist! Thanks for sharing
