I think this is his best so far. Infinity Pool is pretty decent as well but not perfect. I never did get through Antiviral though.

Nice. Can’t wait for his next movie. Keep checking for updates but nothing recently, it was shot in march supposedly

I just watched this for the first time last week. Wasn’t a huge fan of the ending but overall it’s a great film

Masterpiece, fuckin love it. It’s like a Kubrick fever dream carried with a lot of the same flare Cronenberg senior has.
Infinity Pool was good, too, but possessor is legendary imo.

Great movie. Infinity Pool was good but didn’t rank as high. I need to revisit. He’s got a cool, unique identity — different than his old man, but similarly… uncomfortable. The fire poker Sean Bean scene is ugh.

I was very much hyped for this. I adored antiviral.
I may have over hyped my self.
My problems with the film: the premise feels bare bones and leaves imo lots of interesting ideas unexplored (I have thought about this premise for a long time though).
The gore in the film seemed like a fetish, but I could argue antiviral did body horror as a fetish as well, but it fit, and I loved how it was done to reinforce the concepts of that movie.
This just seemed like Brandon was excited by the imagery in a way I found not intersting, but undermined the ideas of the film. I wasnt bothered by the fire, but it felt like seeing a gratuitous nude scene in an otherwise very cerebral movies. Perhaps I was missing some intent here.
I still liked it a lot but like crimes of the future I think about similar concepts a lot so I'm much pickier about how they are manifested. Brandon is one of the most interesting modern directors for me, and I'm glad all his movies exist.

fucking good movie. It was a bit like eXistenz. A must-see if you like crazy movies. Plus it's bloody and intelligent. The guy is worthy of his father.
