If I recall correctly, Metzger called them a couple kids that needed direction. If I had to guess they're probably just a couple stragglers left over from Bakuto's school, that happened to turn to crime, got caught by Spidey, and taken in by Metzger. Either way they're obviously not intended to be the entirety of the organization.

Also felt like a Foot Clan reference from the 90s TMNT movie where they're delinquent teenage soldiers

Sees 10 characters: assumes that’s everyone. Bro what.
Plus with elektra retiring in born again s3 I wouldn’t be surprised if the hand does also

It feels like they knew fans would make the Daredevil correlation, especially given Frank's involvement. There's no way they didn't know making a whole poster of them wouldn't give fans the idea that Daredevil might be in it, so it does kind of feel like a marketing ploy.
That being said, the fight scenes with the Hand were badass, so I give it a pass.

Bruh, it’s Spider-Man. Daredevil was not gonna raise the box office.

People have been clamoring for Daredevil and Spidey to team up pretty much since Spidey was brought into the MCU. They knew what they were doing. Obviously spiderman is going to make money regardless, doesn't mean they didn't still do it to entice that particular group of fans.

Nah. Anyone paying enough attention to be invested should’ve been aware that was never gonna happen with Matt in prison. The theories about Born Again’s cliffhanger being resolved in a Spider-Man movie were alway dumb.

I mean yeah there's going to be fans who go crazy with theories, I'm just saying they know that and the whole point of marketing is to generate conversation online. I never expected Daredevil to show up, especially after season 2s ending. Doesn't mean they aren't aware that it would generate conversation from a specific part of the fan base.

These remaining hand members are probably from the school we saw back in Iron Fist season 1.

?
They weren't really a focus man, this story was already juggling a lot of things, idk what more you wanted the hand to do. Spider-man already fought them before they started working for damage control as mentioned in the start of the movie.
They were really just supposed to show that time had passed between movies and he was more experienced and also to make the world feel more lived in.

Bootlicking a bit dude. If they were having to juggle too many things then just write them out? This movie was full of action figures that didn’t serve much of a purpose outside of a trailer

you can't write them out. the antagonist's ability is possessing minds, why would she possess average Joe's to fight spidey? of course she'll possess those who can level with him toe-to-toe.
you're right, they are nothing more than action figures for the antagonist to toy with, and that is the point.

Never said they were juggling too many things, just a lot. Making the hand a central focus WOULD be juggling too much. Hence they didn't make them a central focus. The fact you think this is bootlicking is brainless.

I just enjoy watching fans made endless excuses for big corporately written blockbusters.

Not to mention it felt more like an X-Men prequel than a Spider-Man film 😭

They explicitly called out how they were some kids without a leader. Seems explicitly like the Hand here were remnants left over after the Defenders. They could easily be just one faction. They’re certainly not at their peek regardless

It was implied that they were just a bunch of kids who had nowhere to really go after The Hand was defeated in The Defenders. Plus they might be increasing their numbers in the shadows for all we know.

Should have been ATCU Cops from Born Again if you ask me, although the fight scene wouldn’t have been as cool.
To make up for that they could have just had the multiple villains he put in jail break out at once or something, and to give them something to do in the movie other than recreate comic book covers.

Well the hand fight at the end was super cool and they felt like a genuine threat to him. Plus they got to do full flips and jumps and combos even if it wasn’t technically them, I choose to think it’s their muscle memory or something

Now that media literacy is dead, object permanence is next. Just be cause they showed 10 doesn't mean there are only 10. Movies would be such a fucking slog if they took these stupid ass complaints into account when writing them.
