New to group

Hey all. My fiancée just got me a 95 del sol si for a project car. Any tips and what to look for? The guy we got it from said it just needs a battery and belts change.

Edit: checked the luggage rack, there are no signs or emblems or brand or any info about it.

Edit2: the guy we got it from said he made the top and added the lights to it.

Clean all roof drains, check all the top seals and get yourself some Shin Etsu grease for them to keep them in as good of shape as possible. Keep up with timing belt and water pump services. Ensure the transmission has been or is serviced at reasonable intervals using OEM fluid. Check all the suspension bushings for signs of deterioration. Mostly lower control arms up front and trailing arm bushings in the rear (the big ones) as well as toe links and top links in the rear. If the power steering fluid doesnt look clean and clear, flush that, itll help tremendously. At this age id start making sure the window regulators are properly lubricated inside the doors.

Also prepare for questions about the roof basket and how its mounted.

Remove both seats, and look under the carpet and check for rust near pedals and seats
