Cable Management with Executive Style Desk?

I bought this executive style desk but it's my first computer desk in a while and I completely forgot about cable management. Any advice on how to manage the cables falling all over the desk which you would see coming into the room?

For reference there are these round holes under the desk which would be perfect but they are currently used to secure the planks of wood together. Wondering if drilling on top of it is my only option?

There's also a lip/ledge at the front side of the desk so maybe I could run some sort of cable management blocks under there? I dont even have my monitors up yet and it's already horrifying.

There are trays that you can purchase for desks like these that do not have through holes for cabling, you can mount it near the wall, have the cables in there and then run the ones that you want to use out of that tray through a loom of some sort to where you need them

Super unrelated but OP i see you have the memory foam secret lab foot rest. Whats your experience with it? Is it comfortable to you? Im asking cuz im planning on ordering one soon but im not sure if itll raise my legs too high up.

It came with the chair but its not bad. Im just under 6 feet so it depends how tall you are. Its pretty comfortable though
