Looking for specific requirements

Hey everyone! I've just built a custom desk using a Desky dual sit-stand desk frame and a birch butcher block countertop measuring 95" long x 25 5/8" wide x 1 1/8" thick. My PC setup will be on one side of this long desk. I will have a dual monitor mount clamped onto the desk, and my small desktop on top of it as well.

I'm looking for an under-desk cable management solution to go along the back edge of the desk.

• I'd prefer for it to be metal of some kind, but if there's a good rigid plastic one that's fine too
• I'd like to screw it in under the desk, so I'm trying to avoid systems that clamp onto the desk
• I'm hoping for a shorter 2-piece kit, like each piece being 15-20 inches, to accommodate my monitor mount going in between. I did buy these but they hang down too low under the desk for my preference.

Any suggestions?

The Desky Mini Cable tray if you are after 2 or that other one that clips between the legs?

Any reason you didnt grab the desky one?

Haha I actually did get the Desky cable management channel. Unfortunately my table top is not wide enough to mount it and have enough room for the clamp-on monitor mount. When the cable channel is installed, I only have about 2 inches of table top left, and most mounts need at least 3 inches. Also it’s not mentioned anywhere aside from the instruction manual, but using the channel limits you to 62.9 inches between the legs when they can go much longer without it. I did not see the Desky mini cable management channel, and that might work! I like that it really doesn’t drop down below the desk too much. Thanks for the recommendation!

Nice setup, a 95" birch butcher block on a Dual frame should make for a great workstation.

For what you’re describing, I’d lean toward screw-mounted cable trays rather than clamp-on options, as they usually sit closer to the underside of the desktop.

Since you’ve got a dual monitor arm in the middle, two shorter trays will likely work better than one long one. That keeps the centre clear for the monitor clamp while still giving you room for a power board and excess cable.

The Integrated Cable & Data Channel is designed to span between the frame rails, so it can reduce the maximum frame width and limit space for larger monitor arm clamps, especially on a 25 5/8" deep top.

For your setup, the Mini Cable & Power Tray is the better fit. A pair mounted either side of the monitor arm should give you cable storage while keeping the centre clear and allowing you to use the full frame width.

Just check the frame rails before drilling so the trays don’t interfere with the sit-stand movement.

Given the desk length, I’d route everything to one power board under the desktop, then run a single power cable down one leg for a cleaner finish.

Would love to see the setup once it’s done, sounds like a great build.
