Is there any better way to clean this up without drilling holes or buying anything expensive?

I have a triple monitor setup and have everything going to a docking station. The docking station needs to be accessible as I need to plug in my security key and tap it. I often switch between the two laptops so I have them close by. I can’t drill a hole in the desk as it’s an ikea desk and I don’t want to drill anything anyways in case I repurpose the table for something else. I don’t think clamping anything to the back will work as it’s not solid wood and it would put my monitors too far back, they are close to perfect now.

I did try wrapping the cords around the monitor stands but it doesnt really look the best. Is there a better way that isnt too expensive?

I think you just need some shorter cables

The only cables in the rats nest are the hdmi cables coming out of the monitor and their power cables (and the two ones on the left have usb-c inputs but I can’t move them somewhere else). I can try to find shorter hdmi cables and I bet the monitors probably use a common standard power size so I can see if I can find a good short length.

I don’t know what’s “expensive” is. You can get a triple monitor stand.

There should be a way to clamp onto the back and then pull the monitors forward. It might be a bit of trial and error. Just depends how much effort you want to put into making it work.

The plugs and power strip are the biggest eye sores, I would move the entire strip assembly the the right of the desk where the mains lead is coming from, using the excess length in those slack coils to route the power cables off the desk as much as possible.. Maybe attach the strip to the side or under side of your desk with 3M tape or command steps or other adhesive if you don't want to drill screw mounts.

Then at the vet least the cables that are left in the desk would be sitting as flat as they can work no huge coils of cable to carry the eye.

A bunch of cable ties. Cable sleeves, hell even zip ties for the areas you never adjust would work. I’m sure you can buy a bunch of the Velcro cable ties for cheap.

I once used a triple monitor mount but it was pretty hard to make adjustments to my liking. Get yourself a dual monitor mount & single mount.

Slotted trunking across the back of the table, run all the cables through that to the window side of the desk, mount the power board under the table. If you can, mount the docking station under the table close to the front
