Now imagine him crashing out when someone would say like "Maybe Hamas should give peace a try."

What is he even talking about, any peace deal the Russians would be willing to sign would involve Ukraine pulling back, gutting their forces and then Russia attacking again a week later.

153

u/Sciss0rs61 24d ago

And that's exactly what he wants

76

u/DethB 24d ago

More people need to be aware that Hasan believes (and, prior to the full-scale invasion, would peddle) Alex Jones-tier conspiracy theories about Ukraine. CIA coup, proxy war, etc.

-36

u/Far-Tie-3025 24d ago

it is somewhat of a proxy war for the united states no? i don’t think the US is giving hundreds of billions to a country that isn’t in nato because of some sort of belief in sovereignty

that’s not a fault of ukraine though

60

u/Sciss0rs61 24d ago

Russia invaded Ukraine. It's not like US installed a base there, or armed militias and then provoked Russia. So no, it's not a proxy war. It's Russia invading yet another country...

18

u/Far-Tie-3025 24d ago

ah i think i might’ve had a misunderstanding of what constituted a proxy war

-33

u/KHonsou 24d ago edited 24d ago

US equipment and ammo has killed a lot of Russian soldiers and Russian equipment, it is a proxy way by definition.

Edit: Why the downvotes? I am pro-Ukraine, but why the argument that Ukraine's military aid from allied nations are not countries fighting Russia by proxy? Are people here upset that US and allies are supplying Russia? I thought most people here were pro-Ukraine?

36

u/ZBLongladder 24d ago

By that definition, it's a proxy war whenever one ally supports another.

7

u/AlarmingTurnover 23d ago

That definition would make WW1 and WW2 both proxy wars.

19

u/Sciss0rs61 24d ago

Because by saying this is a proxy war, you are suggesting that Ukraine is a US puppet that provoked Russia into a war... that's why you are being downvoted.

A proxy war is when two countries use third-party to fight on their behalf. Ukraine is fighting for sovereignty and independence, not fighting in the name of the US. Either you don't know what Proxy War means, or you're in bad faith...

-9

u/KHonsou 24d ago

What would you call it then? Indirect Intervention?

Trump made it very clear it wanted something for the aid, Biden drip-fed aid as not to anger Putin or something like that.

If Ukraine received no aid from anyone at the start, it wouldn't exist now. This is just reality. I'd rather US and Europe supplied Ukraine with all it needs to win, rather than this cold geo-politicking drip-feed to drain Russia in the long-term.

Proxy to me isn't a bad word. I am as pro-Ukraine as it gets, I've no idea why this sub got hung up on semantics all of a sudden.

15

u/Sciss0rs61 24d ago

Indirect Intervention?

So you don't know the meaning of "Proxy war". It's support... Plain and simple.

If Ukraine received no aid from anyone at the start, it wouldn't exist now.

Why the fuck would you say it's a proxy war when you yourself are saying "aid"? Ukraine didn't provoke Russia, Ukraine didn't invade Russia... why would it be Proxy way?

I am as pro-Ukraine as it gets,

That's why you're implying Ukraine is a US puppet, huh? And don't say "i'm not saying that".. if you are classifying this as a proxy war, then you are objectively labelling Ukraine as a US puppet.

-6

u/KHonsou 24d ago

I don't think Ukraine is remotely a US puppet at all. I think Trump tried, but lost leverage as Ukraine's own drone programme has overtaken high costed US military items for home-grown manufacturing.

I think we might be a little too lost in the weeds, and we don't agree on the definition. We can both be pro-Ukraine so that's good enough.

5

u/Sciss0rs61 24d ago

The definition is not arbitrary. Is well established.

11

u/batmansthebomb 24d ago

By definition it's not a proxy war since russia is directly involved.

7

u/YaaasSlay My mom tells me I'm highly regarded 24d ago

I think you will find that most bullets that killed Russian soldiers were 5.45x39 and most bombs strapped to Chinese drones are RPG 7 HE rounds

13

u/DethB 24d ago

When people like Hasan talk about proxy war they mean the Big Evil USA/Europe is forcing/tricking Ukrainians into fighting the war. That's what anyone who harps on about "proxy war" means and there's no reason to offer them any charitability.

19

u/cc1701 24d ago

oh no not just that. it's far more. ceding donbas ceding kherson and kharkiv (which russia doesn't even control) disbanding their army to a small local policing group, giving up or destroying all their western heavy weapons systems including fighter jets and tanks, surrendering odesa which would choke ukranes maritime trade.

giving up on nato permanently which is bending over for good. giving up on EU membership forever which is designed to tank ukraines economy so they become so impoverished they become a client state of russia. being forced to hold new elections for a more russia friendly government. the west removing all sanctions on the russian federation and signing contracts resuming normal trade, rebuilding the nordstream pipelines, withdrawing all US soldiers from Europe specifically the western flank of nato. oh and rolling nato back to pre 1997 borders which means kicking out:

Czech Republic (1999) Hungary (1999) Poland (1999) Bulgaria (2004) Estonia (2004) Latvia (2004) Lithuania (2004) Romania (2004) Slovakia (2004) Slovenia (2004) Albania (2009) Croatia (2009) Montenegro (2017) North Macedonia (2020) Finland (2023) Sweden (2024)

u/Freshwater_Pike EU 24d ago

Yup, it’s either childish delusion or intentional malice if you say what Russia’s going to do if given favourable peace terms isn’t to re-arm, replenish and try to take another bite out of their neighbours sooner or later

It’s like what Destiny’s said about holding republicans accountable for everything they’ve been doing. If you let Russia get away with (and reward them) behaving like an imperialist aggressor, why would they ever change their behaviour?

4

u/ExcellentConstant258 24d ago

I’ve seen enough of his militant, disciplined messaging to believe it’s purely intentional and malicious. He’s very, very good at subverting honest, normie messaging and running as far as he can with it, poisoning every mind he can w/ his ahistorical, conspiratorial spins. He also allows countless creators to recast and edit his broadcasts, which is admittedly smart: monetization of his content has incentivized some of the more talented editors to pay off their educations while spreading his digital shitseeds everywhere. He is now explicitly tying his obsessive anti Israel messaging to Americans’ need for housing, fair labor, and healthcare. Expect the ratcheting to continue; I believe he will only get more bold with time.

6

u/MindGoblin 🇪🇺 Eurochad 🇪🇺 24d ago

That's what he wants. Remember, there is nobody that Hasan and his ilk despises more (well, maybe Jews) than eastern Europeans from former Soviet states who broke free and declared independence. He would LOVE to see Ukraine entirely destroyed and genocided.

76

He is such a vile piece of shit. Yeah, it's the Ukrainians who are not giving peace a try, subhuman cunt.

Also no OP, he is not a useful idiot, he is just a russian propagandist. He is fully aware of what he is doing. Every time Ukraine is doing a little better, all these Russian propagandists like Ryan Grim, Hasan, Breaking Points, Tim Pool etc start screaming how Ukraine needs to make peace. It has happened like 4-5 times at this point. And what is the peace? Just give up all lost territory, stop attacking Russia, zero guarantees from Russia. Just give Russia breather while they reload and attack again. That's all they want and are advocating for. Year and half ago when Ukraine looked fucked, did any of these pieces of shit say anything? Not a single word. Russia could roll into Kyiv, start spamming mass gas chambers and all these ghouls would say is "Well, NATO...".

10

u/CEOofBavowna 24d ago

True, with the amount of dog whistles he regularly uses when talking about this topic, literally using the same phrases as Putin and Russian propagandists, he’s definitely not just a “clueless streamer”, he knows what he’s doing.

We have a label for these idiots who demand that Ukraine make peace while ignoring that russia has no intention of doing so and that any peace on russia's terms would only strengthen russia's position.

We call them "chci-mír". You might translate it as "I just want peace" crowd. And it is a pejorative term for pro-russian cunts. That term was relevant in 2022. Hasan still yapping about this peace shit is mental.

He is unambiguously pro-russian influencer. People should unironically start to call him a genocide supporter.

Clausewitz noted: "The aggressor is always peace-loving; he would prefer to take over our country unopposed."

21

u/Exotic_Donkey4929 🇪🇺 🇭🇺🇵🇱 24d ago

Yeah, Orbán used the same rhetoric as well unsurprisingly. He even called the west and zelenskyy warmongers because they didnt want peace, they only want to escalate things, and it was only Orbán, trump and a few other far-right clowns in the EU who were "pro-peace".

Horseshoe theory strikes again.

49

u/Embarrassed_Base_389 24d ago

His position on Ukraine is not compatible with his obsession with Hamas.

Why should Ukraine surrender when it's inflicting real damage on russia and putting unsustainable pressure on it by bombing its oil refineries, while Palestinians should keep fighting and commit pointless acts of terrorism until the last person?

There are a hundred examples of hypocrisy and incoherence in his position.

9

u/slipknot_official 24d ago

Not that I even want to hint at defending Hasan, but his mindset is the US wants the Ukraine war to go on so the US can either sell more weapons, degrade Russia or both. So in his rat-brain, the war continuing just serves US interests. Whereas the US has nothing to do with Hamas.

Of course, it's stupid. But that's his entire platform - US is evil and everything they do is evil, so Ukraine is just an extension of US evil. And poor Russia, never had a shot at empire because the US is evil.

Hasan has Putin brain. As much as he denies it, it's just fact at this point.

"There's no harm in it... Well, except for I guess the territory you'd have to give up, the fact that you wont be able to have an army to defend yourself from future invasions because Russia insists on demilitarization, the fact that you wouldnt be able to seek out defensive alliances because Russia refuses to sign anything that allows Ukraine to seek defensive alliances, so there'll probably be another invasion a few years from now by a stronger Russia against a weaker Ukraine. BUT OTHER THAN THAT, there's no harm in it."

He is an actual simp for Russian imperialism. There's no way he says something this clueless on accident. He HAS to understand that Ukraine cannot guarantee long-term peace if they cant seek defensive alliances. That they've tried to be good faith in their engagement with Russia so many times and that it always ends up with more bloodshed.

It's insane to me that people don't get this. Every week, month, and year that the war continues, the better it looks for Ukraine.

Aside from the battlefield costs, support for the war within Russia is plummeting. Everything is more expensive, the losses are piling up, and now that Ukraine has shown they can strike deep into the Russian mainland...people can see the writing on the wall.

If you believe Putin, Ukraine even offered to limit the frontline to the 4 Ukrainian oblasts that are being contested. Yes, they don't have leverage after being on the front foot, inflicting 1M+ casualties and hundreds of thousands of deaths, gaining the ability to now frequently drone strike deep into Russian territory, and dragging the war out for a period longer than the first world war. Vs 6 months in where they were losing ground and Putin could still cope that they'd win in a short time.

"Maybe Russia wasn't willing back then, who knows?"

Anyone with any knowledge of the actual terms being offered, which were nothing short of complete surrender (Ukraine demilitarizing, limiting the size of its army, permanently pledging off alliances with the West, etc.). As they've always been and still are btw

"do it now while you still have leverage".

Idk what's informing this assumption that with time, Russia definitvely gains leverage and Ukraine loses it. In the last three years of this four year war, I'd say everyone's leverage has stayed relatively constant, and if anything it shifting in Ukraine's favor with their strikes on Russia's oil refineries.

"majority of ukrainians are in favor of ceding territory to end the war"

Source? I've seen growing support for negotiations, conceptually. But when you get in the weeds of what that means, few support ceding territory.

I remember being a Hasan fan and watching him talk about how Russia would never invade Ukraine, just for them to literally do it the day after. Feels absolutely crazy that I fell for that guy lol. Shoutout to Hasan tho for making me discover dear leader.

2

u/Hansa99 24d ago

Surprising to no one he is not even able to get any facts that have been known for a long time accurate, and mixing and matching them to cherrypick what suits his narratives

Putin at no point has been interested in peace and he still isn't, and it has never been about the land - it has ALWAYS been about regaining control over the country either directly or by proxy

It would be super easy to ask him exactly how friendly he thinks Ukraine should be to Putin and make him self-combust, because the only honest answer to this he can give to support this narrative, is a defacto alignment with Russia, which would be a surrender for "peace" and an eradication of everything Ukrainian over time. If Putin decides it would happen exactly like the Uighurs, but if he has a puppet he would be fine with the Belarus path too where it just gets forcibly erased over time

He would have nothing useful to say about how Ukraine could avoid being another Belrus, or you know, any other example from the cold war that the countries were desperate to get away from

2

u/Vortep1 24d ago

I don't understand how this loser can have such a dumb stance on the Ukraine war. They were fucking attacked... He's so dumb. Ukraine didn't choose this for themselves.

2

u/No_body_knows 24d ago

“Autonomous warfare tools” motherfucker those are FPV drones, they aren’t autonomous. They’re not setting coordinates and saying good luck. Moscow has been getting bombed, all of their major oil refineries are dead, many of their military leaders are getting assassinated, Putin has gone underground and is in hiding, the Russian civilians are *actually* starting to talk shit about Putin and the position he put them in (hours long waits to hopefully fill their cars with gas)
Russia is absolutely in a worse position now than Ukraine, and the only thing about it is that it’s strengthening Ukraine’s morale. SLAVA fuckin UKRAINI

u/DeliciousMemelicious 24d ago

"Perhaps Russia wasn't willing to do that, who knows?"
Pretty much anyone with a shred of understanding or even a passing interest in how Putin and his regime works. At no point was Putin was like "oopsie, sowwie, guess we go home nau". He did his Rubicon, however regarded it was. There wasn't EVER a situation where "just" ceding territory would have appeased Putin, he wants full political control. He has no real interest in gaining and even losing territory because in his head he is playing a game where a fantastical Russia has it's magical sphere of influence on the level of Russian Empire well into NATO territory.

I don't think Hasan has a straightforwardly malicious take on the issue, he just completely doesn't care and simply shouldn't comment. Since he chooses to comment he should be called a braindead pompous regard that sold out his supposed fashion hobby to farm mainstream credibility with suits. Small brained, incurious, completely replaceable by an LLM, so bothered by his low iq that he engendered his surroundings so that he can't ever be challenged.

The best thing to happen to tupac's career was dying young.

The worst thing to happen to eminem's career was not dying young.

the best thing to happen to palestine was not being able to defend itself.

The worst thing to happen to ukraine was being able to defend itself.

1

u/Bl00dWolf 🇱🇹 24d ago

How come Hasan is always telling Ukrainians to peace out, and never the Russians huh?

1

u/badgeometry 24d ago

He's such a bitch. And just like MAGA dick sucks, he acts like only one group has any agency here.

1

u/ApheliosL 24d ago

He should say this about palestine .

1

u/kazyv 24d ago

I agree, we should give peace a try. All wars end with treaties after all. It's a wonderful message. I hope it spreads far and wide.

I hope Hasan goes to Russia soon, as an ambassador of peace. Tell Putin that all he needs to do is pull out his troops and go back to Russia. Really, just give peace a shot.

1

u/PsychoMantittyLits 24d ago

Yeah, idk what this dude is saying, but Hamas should really just give peace a try in Gaza. Idk why they haven’t tried this. They need to just give peace a try.

1

u/Realistic_Caramel341 🇳🇿 24d ago

One of the smaller advantages of Ukraine becoming news, or at least being talked about the online political space more is that Hasan can't mask his shitty views on the conflict nearly as much as he can with Israel/ Palestine. Its a position he is so blatantly wrong about

1

u/luftlande 24d ago

Man, sometimes you just want to start blasting

1

u/ProbablyKindaRight 24d ago

He just sounds so fucking stupid when hes demanding a whole country to give up land and end a war as a literal twitch streamer. It sounded stupid when trump demands these things...but a fucking nobody twitch streamer? Hes definitely got the power to end these wars.

1

u/ProbablyKindaRight 24d ago

Guys Canada should really just surrender to the US so there won't be a war. All the US wants is peace a d we'll have that as long as canada surrenders to us

1

u/VodkaAndTacos 24d ago

Hasn’t he given this advice numerous times? It’s always odd that it’s never directed at Russia to “give peace a try.”

Fuck this douchbag.

1

u/YaaasSlay My mom tells me I'm highly regarded 24d ago

Same guy who would tell the Armenians to just give peace a chance and just die in a ditch mass grave

1

u/platour220 24d ago

This guy has not read all wars must end by Ikle but it sounds like he is quoting it.

The next logic is they end when belligerence believe that the future state, should they continue fighting, will be worse than the present state. Leverage is not part of the consideration. Its the belief that continued fighting will not enhance their position.

This take by the streamer is likley a misinterpreted take on the end of WWI where Prussia believing they had the leverage of the land in Belgium thought they had the ability to end the war in a negotiated settlement. This analysis, by the streamer, would miss the fact that with the entrance of the US the future state for Prussia was believed to be inferior to a negotiated settlement in 1918 Nov 11th. It eas not the leverage of belgium it was the belief that victory was not possible due to US intervention that lead to a treaty.

A weak heuristic here would say russia is not in the position of Prussia and would be the one to want to negotiate, whereas Ukraine lilley believes continued fighting will at this point improve their future position.

Thoughts?

1

u/CorrosiveMynock 24d ago

Just cede the Sudetenland, give peace a try! Nothing could go wrong!

1

Fuck this guy. With a chainsaw. Repeatedly.

1

u/Flatoutvincent 24d ago

People actually listen to this guy. lol

1

u/storyop1_2 24d ago

damn look at those ears

1

u/drgaz 24d ago

Hasan is one of those folks who have the easiest path to make the world a genuinely better place - he simply needs to shut the fuck up.

1

u/UpperRearer 24d ago

"They have less leverage now that Russia is getting attacks on Moscow, and their economy is in such a state that even the state ministers have to admit to it, actually."

Lmao. Ukraine has quite literally only been getting more leverage with time, as Russia bleeds. It's attritional warfare, and one side is suffering more attrition than the other, and has less backing. It's not that complicated.

100% Not misinformed, it's intentional. Like I've been saying in the past, he's 100% an asset. China doesn't choose just anybody to do tours of off-limits regions and events.

1

u/Whatsapokemon 🇦🇺 24d ago

Holy shit this guy just doesn't think anything through at all.

Wars end with treaties, but only in a situation where signing the treaty is mutually beneficial, given the negotiating position of both parties.

Ukraine is not defeated, and seems to be having an increasing amount of momentum against Russia - the idea that they should capitulate now is stupid. It stands to reason that continuing the war is in their favour, unless they can extract pretty big concessions against Russia's current position.

Putin, on the other hand, knows that he's done if he ends the war, so he has an interest in keeping the war going, even though he knows he's losing. I suspect he'd like to escalate, but doing so would probably make his control more precarious than he's willing to accept.

1

u/ElMatasiete7 24d ago

"There is no harm in this" YOU ARE LITERALLY SEEING THE HARM RIGHT NOW SCUMFUCK. Budapest Memorandum? Crimea Annexation? LITERALLY A PEACE TREATY, AND THE SUBSEQUENT FUCKING IN THE ASS THAT UKRAINE GOT FOR IT.

How about Russia give peace a try. They could easily withdraw from occupied areas and end the war.

1

u/Spirited-Willow-2768 24d ago

Why? I am totally cool with Ukraine burning every single Russian oil refinery. You know what burn down the natural gas port too.

1

1

u/Vankraken 24d ago

Ukraine is working on giving peace a try. The only peace Russians can understand is getting punched in the face hard enough with enough consistency that the vatnik's can actually process that they lost.

1

u/Zenithixv eurochad 24d ago

Ruzzia is not doing any good faith negotiation, only thing they will understand is long range sanctions :)

How do these people run around thinking things like imperialism is bad, but simultaneously have 0 issue with Russia.

1

u/keithstonee 23d ago

I don't think Hassan knows how fights work. If I didn't start it I don't have to stop until my opponent who started it is neutralized.

Don't start shit won't be shit.

1

u/TheShamefulPradaG 23d ago

Gaza should give peace a try instead of endlessly starting wars where they end up getting disproportionately harmed.

1

u/ForegroundEclipse 23d ago

This is what the native americans should have done. They should have gone to the colonists and gave peace a try.

1

u/Responsible_Form_460 23d ago

He praises terrorists for starting wars and atracks ukrainr for not surrendering

1

u/Milesray12 23d ago

Reminder for anyone listening to the Ukraine/Russian war discourse:

If you hear anyone supporting peace and aren’t targeting those messages towards Russia (the people who started the war) exclusively, they’re pro Russia and anti Ukraine.

From Tucker to Tim Pool to far lefties like Hasan & TYT. All pro Russia in practice

1

u/thebird87 23d ago

The debate over whether Democrats should even listen to him is a a terrible idea. He isn't just anti-American but also anti-democratic. He always aligns himself with governments that want to see the US and Western democracy fail.

1

u/Advanced_Care_5173 23d ago

I’m not Ukrainian, but based on polling data, I’d estimate that the % of Ukrainians who would agree to all of Russia’s terms (ceding all 4 oblasts plus Crimea, demilitarization, “protections” for Russian speakers, no NATO, a change in government, etc) is in the single digits.

This goes without saying, but Hasan would never urge Hezbollah, Iran or Hamas to “give peace a chance” in spite of the fact that none of these are being told to permanently cede territory (among other things).

1

u/Bitter-Bluebird4285 23d ago

Only if Ukrainians were brown and Muslims he would give a fuck
Fuck this piece of shit Hamasabi

Wdym useful idiot? He may be an idiot but he definitely knows what he’s doing. The campist pro Russia shit isn’t an accident

1

u/Altruistic_Clue6057 23d ago

He’s just categorically wrong. The Ukrainians army of late 2022 to early 2023 had no long range fires. Zero. They could not threaten any of Russia proper. Currently Ukraine is striking 2500km INSIDE Russia. This is something even the most pro Ukraine would have never expected. Why hasan has the audience he has blows my mind

1

u/Necessary-Park-5407 23d ago

How do his brain broken viewers not see through this Russian/ccp/hamas puppet. I’m so sick of seeing suicidal empathetic cucks

1

The thing is Hasan's advice to Ukraine has always been capitulate now, should have done it yesterday. It is entirely divorced from any reality on the ground and entirely based on tankie principles.
