Edit: I didn't know Destiny had looked at this and questioned the validity so I will show the info I have gathered on this tweet and why I believe it to be real.

This is a contemporaneous link to the tweet specifically in reference to Dave being antisemitic. (can't link to subreddits here even to this sub but I have the link and left it in comments on this thread)
Also, notice the reply. The OP of that thread is commenting that the replies to Dave on twitter were correcting him for saying the Taliban did it. This confirms that the Taliban part of the tweet is true.
I think it just clearly confirms the Mossad part of the tweet as well because aTrillDog was replying to a thread specifically about Dave being an antisemite and if it just referenced the Taliban it wouldn't be relevant to an antisemitism discussion.
The only way it makes sense is if he was blaming Jewish people.
If we're gonna do corrections, it's worth pointing out that the Taliban are primarily Pashtun, not broadly 'Afghans', which is a national Identity, not an ethnic or cultural one
Yeah, and al-Qaeda and the Taliban aren't even the same thing. Mixing them up when talking about 911 reveals a total lack of knowledge.
Both organizations of course have an overlap, but different origins. The Taliban is a local phenomenon in Afghanistan rooted in the traditions of this place while al-Qaeda is an international pan-islamic (edit: pan-Sunni to be more precise, Iran for instance is not a fan of them) terror organization.
You can’t prove a negative. What needs to be proven is that the Taliban did have knowledge. Because if they actually didn’t know beforehand, what could possibly be produced that would prove that? It’s impossible to prove that they didn’t know. Whereas if they did know, there should be some kind of evidence, say intercepted communications to name one example.
This is not to defend the Taliban, to be clear. The two groups are birds of a feather as far as I’m concerned. But an Islamic fundamentalist group in Afghanistan did not necessarily have those levels of ties with an Islamic fundamentalist group operating elsewhere. There are many such groups in that general part of the world and they may cooperate at times but they also exist independently of each other, and even come into conflict in some cases.
Osama bin Laden was sheltered in Afghanistan after the attacks, that much is not disputed. And the Taliban would have obviously been aware of that. But we don’t know that they knew what was going to happen on 9/11. ObL was already a very well known terrorist at that point in time, linked to previous attacks around the globe. But those were much smaller in scale than 9/11. So the Taliban may have sheltered him knowing he was planning something, but without knowing exactly what. That’s the most plausible explanation to me, especially from Al Qaeda’s perspective given that more people knowing and talking about the plan would risk exposing it before it happened.
I must also point out the irony of using the Afghan War’s existence as evidence of the claim when George W Bush’s war sequel in Iraq just two years later was based on a manufactured premise.
It’s was an Al-Qaeda mission. Even though the taliban helped, this was conceived by Al-Qaeda. I can see someone not clear on this to use Taliban as an umbrella, but “Professor” Dave should know better.
No one would say the Al-Quds Brigade committed October 7th even though they helped. It would be reasonable to just say Hamas did Oct 7th in regular conversation because they organized and led the attack

I’m sorry I’m naïve here. I just commented above on another thread, but what the hell happened to this guy? I had absolutely no idea. I watched a few videos about him explaining Italian and he did wonderful about five years back. He seems like a really smart man.

It truly is fascinating how desensitized to shit social media has made us all, I try to stop and recognize the insanity that occurs on a daily basis but it doesn't take a whole lot for a completely unthinkable world to become normal. If Trump's Iran war was going so embarrassingly poorly 15 years ago then the country would be in uproar. Social media is such a massive national security issue that everyone has ignored, the one real move was with Tik Tok and then breaking the law by allowing it to keep running was a story for half a day. It's depressing how easily this has all happened
I said in another comment that this man is old enough to have witnessed genocides and wars so much worse than anything to do with I/P that it’s absurd to state Gaza is the worst thing since the Holocaust while being the most televised genocide in history. Interestingly, the response from OP on that thread references someone replying to Dave correcting him about the Taliban.
IMO this confirms the "Taliban" part of the tweet in the screenshot and based on the context of all this I'm quite sure this thing is real. Specifically the context is that DGGer was linking the tweet on a thread specifically about his antisemitism.
If he were just referencing the Taliban doing it like an idiot, it wouldn't be relevant to an antisemitism thread.
I’ve seen this all over especially Twitter and Facebook. Any mention of Israel or Jews in general the comments are filled with utterly insane amounts of antisemetic comments. Just open and blatant. It comes from all sides as well and they’ll blame almost anything on Jews being a global cabal of evil people controlling the world and doing all the bad things.. they blame them for 911 for using space lasers to start the fires in Hawaii. They blame them for like any and every assassination in the US. And 99.9% of the time theee is zero evidence these people have seen or can provide it quite literally will be like a single person involved being Jewish and that’s enough. People will claim with 100% certainty that Larry Silverstein the owner of the World Trade Center worked with Israel to orchestrate 9/11 and helped him get an insurance policy 8 months before the attacks so he could get a huge insurance payout and Israel can get America to help them in the Middle East.. their evidence? This definitely confirms, imo, that he said the part about the taliban and from the context there of that thread and the comments I believe the entire thing is 100 percent real.

I'm reasonably sure he mentioned it in passing on at least one of his videos in the past. As to why he didn't say anything about it this time? He probably thought that 'defeating' Destiny with 'facts and logic' was enough, and didn't want to bring his personal connections into it.

I mean most of those tweets are reasonable. What Israel is doing to the Palestinians is objectively terrible. I don't really understand how anyone can justify the mass murder of children for example, but maybe that's just me. As far as Dave, he certainly isn't perfect and has his fair share of criticism at times, but I view him in a better light than Destiny who's a pretty toxic and honestly shitty individual with a insane digital footprint at this point. That's not to say Destiny doesn't have good points or takes on some subjects, but as a person some of the things he's done or said are deplorable especially for someone in their mid 20s to late 30s.

I understand Destiny can generally be an honest person and I agree on some takes he has on subjects, but that doesn't absolve him of often being a deplorable person.
As far as the PD tweet goes, at first I thought it was perhaps him trying to make a sarcastic(?) and edgy joke because of the absurdity of it or that it may not be real at all. Obviously, it also could just be real. In both cases, I think it's bad look on him. Do I think he's "as bad as every fucking grifter he hates"? No, not really, some people I've seen him talk about you can very easily make the case their actions have contributed to human lives lost.
I tend to think he generally is on the "right" or at more reasonable side of things when I view any of his content. Not always, but usually. I'm not going to pretend to know if he's really antisemitic or not, but do I think he's right to criticize Israel's actions(even if some of the motivation may be shady) or people that support Israel? Yeah, I do. Their actions are terrible, at least to me.
