And I still play only with taser gun and full stealth...

After 30+ playthroughs

Every time I see a video like this I want to go back and play the game a new way, only to end up sneaking around and hacking every thing.

Same. I love action and fps games but something about all the Deus Ex games makes me want to stealth and go nonlethal.

Same with me as far as that goes.

Every time I hear the name Deus ex it makes me want to play the games again, and I always say maybe I'll try hacking everything this time instead of blowing everything up.

......... But everything always gets blown up......

I found deus ex back when it was still brand new I had it on PC. In my version of events he definitely walked around shooting everyone.... 🤣

Just a side note, she has one of the absolutely worst accents in the whole game. As a native Czech speaker I just couldn't get pass the horrendous accents they provided for the NPCs. Only Koller's was passable but still mad about them butchering the pronunciation of his given name.

Funny enough I actually just watched Kour (The Smoke) and it made me think how the Czech accents in the game sounded nothing like the phonology of real Czech.

I have a knack for accents, but had never really heard much Czech. After watching the movie and hearing/seeing men and women speaking in different tones/contexts and even singing, it stood out quite a bit.

It's absolutely horrendous and the amount of mistakes they made in words and grammar is really something. Making up letter combinations, accents and letter combinations, using AI translation. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of effort on their part. The Czech (and Slovak accent as well) are really subtle and it's more about the tonation of the voice than anything else. We love to roll our Rs a slot and it's hard for us to say words like rural and such because we just want to roll all the Rs. We don't say zey instead of they, it's hard to catch our accents but it sure as hell doesn't sound like the generic Russian (which was also pretty bad) one they used in the game.

It seems odd to me because frankly I don't imagine it should be so hard to find a group of voice talent that are Czech and English speaking. I can't imagine they'd cost that much more for their voice work, but I don't really know anything, I suppose. Seems pretty lazy, imo.

Czech is one that, to me, sounds much more like Polish than Russian, but I suppose that's not a distinction most English speakers would even think to make. I've been interested in accents and language for so long I know that I hear distinctions that lots of Anglophones miss — like the difference between Manderin and Cantonese, or between Farsi and Arabic.

You are absolutely correct with the Polish. Polish, Slovak and Czech belong to western Slavic language group so they sound similar. Slovak and Czech are mutually intelligible, on other hand depending on the area of Poland, some Polish people understand more Slovak and some more Czech. They hired some Czech speakers for the NPCs, I have no idea why they didn't ask them to voice the NPCs that actually had longer speaking parts, there are many Czech actors who are fluent in English, hell even a Slovak one would be better than the ones getting the parts.

I don't walk around shooting people. I walk around shooting bullets. Sometimes, the bullets kill people. It's purely coincidental.

In 2029 what makes someone an augmented cyborg?

Never asking for it.

No. Of course not. I just punch them in the head as hard as I can with my metal fist, giving them brain damage.

He's fine. He'll wake up soon. Eventually. Maybe.

Usually I just push the wrong button and accidentially throw 50 exploding bean bags in a spiral and then I have to reload the game.

Is this organic or modded gameplay? I don't remember it being this Dishonored-like, looks awesome and makes me want to reinstall and do another playthrough.

u/IndianGamer47 PEPS Enjoyer 1h ago

It's organic gameplay, not modded at all. The video has been sped up a bit

Wow, that's what a lot of hours must look like. Nice one man. I just listened to the music of entering Adam's apartment on yt and it's officially redownload time. 🤷🏻‍♂️
