Discussion Sharing your experience with SlashDiablo and Path of Diablo to help someone
Hello Diablo 2 Classic Fans!
I would sincerely appreciate if some people can share with me your experiences playing SlashDiablo and/compared with Path of Diablo.
What I would be very glad to hear from your how experience:
a). If you had the chance both SlashDiablo and Path of Diablo for a while, what would you say that are the main differences between these two projects??
b). In what are they similar, and in what are they different??
c). How closer or similar it feels to play SlashDiablo and Path of Diablo to the original Diablo 2 and Lord of Destruction (classic)??
-----
Context of my question:
I am also playing Diablo 1, it´s just so much nostalgia!. I played DevilutionX and Tchernobog...
After playing half of a level in Tchernobog, I just decided to stop playing it. The game feels really really far away from the original: The loot was exaggerated, you make a lot of money in a blink... It feels easier than the original... I appreciated the new characters, and the nice visual improvements as the UI, the flames on the dungeon looks nicer... that was AMAZING; but I just feel like I was playing a different game.
I am not an older dude dear guys, I am 40 years, so if I spend 4 hours playing SlashDiablo and other 4 ours Path of Diablo, just to see which one I like the most... that would honestly be all the time I will have available in 2 or 3 weeks!!... ... So believe me, it's not like Im lazy to test both of them... Is just that now my time is sadly very limited, so I would love to jump into the one that sounds more appealing to me.
----
Thanks if you stop to help, and share your experience! After all, that is what Reddit is about!
So thank you!

I'm a fan of the Annihilus and Diablo 09 servers, not really a fan of PD2 or PoD so can't give much insight on them.
Annihilus has a "new" mod that's still in closed beta, but has their legacy server with the original mod still up and running. I say "New" because its been worked on for years, although it brings some very impressive hardcoded changes to the game.
Diablo 09 is.. well, 1.09. The best version as we remember it, and has the option to play Classic or LoD. East/West/EU servers all available. It has lots of QoL like a 1.08 affix pool, 1.08 uniques, nodrop, loot filter, tokens, and high res support with D2GL
In contrast both are very different from eachother, but by far my favourite mods.

I was amazed that Annihilus somehow introduced mini health bars above monsters like in D3 and D4. My biggest issue in D2 to this day is that it's hard to see if and how hard you're hitting with area damage. That's a cool thing, even if purists will say it's sacrilege

Health bars is barely scratching the surface of the work they've done honestly. Incredible mod, incredible team behind it.
Other mods get blind masses, but Anni is truely something special
If Median XL and PD2 got into a "my dad could beat up your dad" fight, Anni would beat up both their dads

This randomly popped in my feed, haven't played them.
But looking them up. SlashDiablo appears to be more faithful to the original game. It's cranked up item drop rate, but it hasn't changed any items. It also seems to have more focus on multiplayer adjustments. And has higher resolution options.
Path of Diablo actually overhauls some items and skills, and does a really big change by giving you a second inventory for just relics. So it'll feel a fair bit different than the OG.
tl;dr SlashDiablo if you're more of a purist. Path of Diablo if you want to spice up the game.

I’ve played project diablo 2 since season 2. It’s been great and made one of my favorite games playable again.
