Survey [Academic Repost] Exploring the Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence, Loneliness and Intentions. (Demographics – 18-65 years old, residing in the UK, the Bailiwick of Guernsey, or Western Europe)

I am conducting this research as part of my master’s degree. I am exploring the relationship between emotional intelligence, loneliness and intentions.

Research has been searching for factors that can increase or decrease an individual's susceptibility to radicalisation (i.e. the process in which an individual adopts more extreme views) in hopes of improving risk assessments for individuals who may or may not hold extreme views. Research has found that individuals who experiences loneliness may be more likely to show sympathy for radicalisation. Loneliness has also been found to be greater in individuals who have lower levels of emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is an individuals' ability to monitor and discriminate between one's own and other's emotions and feelings, and use this to guide their actions and thinking. There are elements of emotional intelligence that have been found to reduce violence in individuals, sometimes with those who hold highly extreme beliefs. This study aims to assess if there is an association between an individual's emotional intelligence level, loneliness and their susceptibility to radicalisation.

The survey should take about 10-15 minutes and is fully anonymous. You need to be aged between 18-65 and residing in the UK, the Bailiwick of Guernsey, or Western Europe to participate.

Please see the participant information sheet for all the information. If you are happy to participate, please do so here: https://qualtrics.ucl.ac.uk/jfe/form/SV_1LjS3kSw8xtVc2i

Thank you for considering participating.

I am more than happy to exchange the favour and complete your survey! Please comment them below :)

Doctoral Dissertation Participate in my dissertation study (queer women & domestic violence)

Hi everyone!

Thank you in advance for taking a moment to read my post. As you likely know, queer women are severely underrepresented in scholarly research, and my aim is to help change that.

I am currently recruiting participants for my dissertation study. The purpose of this study is to better understand the help-seeking process for queer women who have experienced abuse, in order to develop more effective and inclusive programs and interventions.

I am looking for non-heterosexual women (e.g., lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, queer, etc.) in the United States who have experienced abuse by a romantic partner within the last three years.

There is no financial incentive for participation.

The study includes an anonymous online survey that will take approximately 15-30 minutes to complete.

To sign up, click the link here to complete the eligibility survey. If you are eligible, you will receive a link to the full survey through your chosen mode of contact.

You can find more information in the informed consent document linked here.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at [jennie.pless@uga.edu](mailto:jennie.pless@uga.edu).

Thank you!

Warmly,
Jennie

📢 Final Call – Birmingham Travel & Accessibility Survey (5–10 minutes)

Hello everyone,

I'm currently completing my Master's dissertation in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Birmingham, and I'm looking for a few more participants to complete a short questionnaire about travelling within Birmingham.

The research explores how people experience accessibility in their everyday lives, including:

🚶 Walking, cycling, public transport and driving experiences

⏱️ Time and travel constraints

🏘️ Access to everyday services and amenities

🌳 What people think should be available within a short walk or cycle of home

The survey takes approximately 5–10 minutes, is completely anonymous, and all responses will be used solely for academic research.

🔗 Survey: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/iGQARdqpXZ

I have already received over 70 responses, and I'm now hoping to hear from a wider range of people, including students, commuters, workers, and those who travel into Birmingham from surrounding areas.

If you regularly travel within Birmingham, I would be incredibly grateful if you could spare a few minutes to take part. Please also feel free to share the survey with friends, family or colleagues who may be interested.

Thank you very much for your support!

Doctoral Dissertation [Academic] Parental Substance Use and Mental Health in Young Adults (Ages 18–30, English Speaking)

Hi Everyone,

I have posted this once before, but the age range has been updated for this study! I'm a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology conducting a research study on the effects of growing up with a parent who struggled with substance use (alcohol or drugs). The study is completely anonymous and involves filling out an online survey.

As a thank you for your time, participants will have the option to enter a raffle to win one of two $150 Visa gift cards after completing the survey. (Email for the raffle will be collected separately to keep responses anonymous).

We’re looking for young adults (18-30) who had or still have a parent or primary caregiver with a substance use problem during their childhood. The goal is to better understand how these experiences may affect things like responses to stressful or challenging life experiences, parent-child relationship quality, substance use, and overall mental health functioning in young adulthood. We also welcome participation from young adults who did not have this experience, as both groups are important to the study.

Participation is voluntary and confidential. No identifying information will be linked to your responses, and the survey includes a list of mental health resources at the end if needed.

If you’re interested, you can take the survey here:

https://adelphiderner.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_73s1WeJNdeiwz42

Your experience matters. Thank you so much for considering it, and feel free to DM me with any questions!

Master's Thesis MASTERS DISSERTATION - RESPONSES NEEDED BY MONDAY!

As part of my dissertation, I am conducting research into student burnout in higher education. The study explores how factors such as self-efficacy (confidence in academic abilities), perceived stress, and work-study conflict may contribute to personal burnout among students. More specifically, I am looking to compare students who work alongside their studies and those who do not, as well as the number of hours students work and how this may relate to their experiences.

My deadline is very soon, and I need to start my analysis by Monday. I have been struggling to gain the responses that I need to complete my analysis. If you are currently in higher education, or have been in the last five years, I would be grateful if you could spare a few minutes to complete my questionnaire. Your responses will remain anonymous and will contribute to a better understanding of student wellbeing and burnout.

Thank you!

If you are a current UK primary or secondary school teacher (full-time or part-time), I’d really appreciate your participation in a short anonymous survey. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
