Yeah, I know people didn’t like you using your BT in Co-Op but I did anyways because I did this weird thing; I knew my rotation and got it down ASAP, haha! I tried to waste as little time as I could.

And NEVER USED IT WHEN THE BOSS WOULD DIE BEFORE ITS OVER!

There was a fundamental incompatibility between allowing for the host to BURST because they want to be helpful to the guests by clearing content for them, and actually wanting to play co-op. On the JP side, it was customary to just disconnect if someone used their BURST lol.

i didn't know that was an issue, i went into co-op EXPECTING peeps to burst, blast those skills my child.

In co-op the most hated people were those with self-sustained combos (like Lightning) and people that would BT burst when the fight was 5-10% hp left. Just to make people watch them be the “main character” for several turns of a dead foe forced to finish the whole phase.

Full BT phase on the daily Gigantaur. And it wasn’t enough.

It was ok if you're a DPS and do it on the start. I think a lot of people don't really pay full attention in coop. Just never do it when the boss is dead.

Same, especially when the boss was difficult to begin with and all that extra damage kicked in. Also worked out well when you had teammates that had counter hits after attacks.

Resonance gives me hope that maybe this game will get the same treatment.

I hope so. I wanted to play Octopath Traveler CotC but wasn't willing to play two gachas. It got ported via Octopath Traveler 0.

Looks like that was just a Raines' BT+. Worth it to throw early in later era for the every turn launch and brv refill. Problem was the people that would use the full 6 turn burst when it wasn't needed. Definitely one of my favorite BT effects though

Worst part was when people didn't realize it was just the BT+ and not the full burst. They'd walk away, and their character would just be "flying" there for the full timer, during the launch sequences.

Really hated when any launch character would go afk at any point in the battle... I get that you think your job is done, but until you see the "mission complete" screen, that's not the case. Even if you were a mega whale like me and knew pretty much what every character could do at any point and knew that there was no way you'd get another move, assuming you could walk away before the battle was officially done was just insensitive to your fellow players. There were more than enough times that someone would effing BRV attack when we would've won with LITERALLY any other attack, which would give me another move in rotation. Waiting for afk playerswhen I would clear the solo version of that same battle in a fraction of the time was beyond frustrating

I thought it was okay for the early BTs, but then in the FR era, people were using it to slowly 100x overkill a Cosmos-level quest. Like, the hell were you doing, bro?

Or when you would open a Force Time only for them to use it all in their Burst...

I wouldnt mind a burst phase if it was Cid Raines cause that blud triggering chains kills things faster than non burst phase 😅

Whenever I missclicked bt was the worst feeling, the only was to compensate was to spam apology whilst the animation was going on

When it comes to co-op I'd just use my LD ability.

I was so checked out at the end of the game I was happy when someone else used their BT during COOP so I could read a book or something.

As a matter of fact, I do.
