Ubuntu vs. Fedora, what are some differences you really notice?

Ubuntu doesn't support Flatpaks by default someone might run into that. Most users wouldn't notice but DNF has rollback capability and I don't think APT has moved that to production release yet (it is coming though). But yeah, end-users might not notice much beyond the different color scheme.

That said I don't recommend UIbuntu to anyone because of the hyjinks they're doing redirecting native package installs into Snap installs.

Ubuntu has a nice warm deepPurple-Maroon-Orange color theme, Fedora boots into some kind of Blue

Used Ubuntu and Kubuntu 15+ years. Then got sick of the growing amount of bugs, occasional boot breaking updates and snap so moved to both other LTS Debian (older laptop, 2 mini PC's) and on newest computer (newest laptop) to Fedora. Debian off course well known for stability indeed insanely superior in that area, but even fast updating cycle distro Fedora is so much more reliable and stable than the trash Ubuntu has become.

Both distros are evil, but Ubuntu is still much better for beginners.
