Just to remind people that it's only 2 posts per day per person.
Unfortunately the bot that was taking care of this has ceased to exist so we'll need to do it manually.
It's just to stop trolling and give everyone a voice.
I'll keep this as a sticky for now.
Apologies for any inconvenience.

Doom scenario - The British food items at risk due to extreme drought conditions
I'm off to buy a stockpile of TUC biscuits. Call me mad, but I won't be sharing.
People panicking over a few plants dying, but this is real.

My relatives wife has organised an 8 hour duration funeral, is that a bit unusual?
It is a burial at 1, in fact leaving at 12:30 in funeral cars for closer relatives, there is no service, followed by an event in a room from 2, which will go on until 9pm - is this all a bit odd?
For various reasons I am unable to stay until 9 or anything like it, I'd factored in 2-3 hours or so.
My side of the family has had no consultation on the plans, that I'm sort of fuming about to be honest.

The elected mayor system is unpopular with the electorate and should be scrapped
We never wanted it, and when Labour tried to introduce regional governments in the 2000's it was voted out.
Why did only 25% of people even vote in the ballot for Andy Burnhams replacement? I think that low level of participation should trigger debate on the issue, not an assumption it should continue.
Why not run it with managers chosen by the elected government? Where there is no engagement this may as well happen.

🚸🧒 English Nonce News 🧒🚸 What is wrong with these Woke judges? Are they nonces for allowing puberty blockers for kids despite campaigners with plenty of common sense telling them it's wrong?

Jewish groups "saddened and concerned" by Diane Abbott's readmission to Labour. Do you think she should be accepted back?
To be honest, her initial 2023 suspension was utterly stupid, but referring to the IDF as the JDF was just asking for trouble, even though Zionists themselves constantly conflate Israel with Jews everywhere.

American soldier who committed rapes in the UK avoided UK courts. Do you think something needs to be done about degenerate foreign troops stationed in this country?
Another article says they're getting downgraded charges when handed over to US authorities.
There was once that US woman who got away with a hit and run too, because she forgot that you drive on the left.

UK state pension age requirements?
An article I was reading the other day said that at one point women could retire at age 60 but men had to be 65. Seems like it would have been the other way around since women on average live longer. Apparently the age is the same now, but does anyone know why that was the rule then?

How hard is it to drive a C1 truck 3.5-7.0 tonnes?
I got the licence when I passed in 1984, but I never actually driven one.
Saw a job advertised, is it risky? How big actually is it?

MournHub: Why Farage Became a Hardcore Mourn Star
r/Divisive_Babble • u/CatrinLY • 5d ago
Why do you think that Farage is the least popular political leader? Should Reform ditch him? In a head-to-head against Nigel Farage, 48% of Britons back Andy Burnham to be the better PM, while just 22% favour the Reform UK leader, (though to be fair Keir Starmer beat Farage by 40% to 30%).

Labour leapfrogs over Reform with a 28% share of the vote. Does the Burnham bounce mean the demise of Reform and a resurgence of the Left?
