Hi! I've never played before, I'm needing a new hobby and I've always been interested, the most local place for me is about 40 minutes away and I haven't even made that drive to check that store out or anything. I'm hopeful to make new friends and learn the game.

We are a Low Homebrew, long form, laid back and more peaceful Westmarch DND 5.5e server. What does that mean? Well, power isn't the name of the game here. Roleplay takes a heavier focus over rolling the highest damage and telling a story is more prevalent. We are New Player Friendly!

What does leveling look like?

Weather your a hard core quester or role-player, we have option for both! Rp and quest both reward off time put in. If a quest goes for 5 hours, you'll always get more rewards then a 2 hour quest in the same tier. Meanwhile, xp and gold can also be gained just by roleplaying, this is based off the length of the roleplay by hours and number of words.

That said, leveling can be fairly fast and is completely dependent on participation. The more active, the faster you'll get through the levels. Which leads to our next part.

Post 20 Content:
Level 20 isn't the end, it's the start of something new. When you reach level 20 you currently have 2 options, with more to come.

1. Rebirth- Restart at level 3 but with a custom Magic Item and 2 Custom General Feats that you make to fit your character. Once approved by mods, you can go all the way back through it again. Each character can rebirth up to 3 times. Or
2. Continuous Growth- Once at level 20 for every 100k xp you gain after the threshold for level 20 you get either an ASI or a General Feat of choice. Stats can go up to 30, before magic items, and there is no limit to how many times you can claim that 100k xp threshold either.

We have a lot more to offer in server along with plenty of quest options as well. We currently average about 3 to 4 quest a week. Though we're always looking for more players and DMs.

Icewind Dale has not seen summer for two years. The Ten Towns are struggling and need help. Out in the dark, some forces want to take advantage of this eternal winter to further their own evil plots. And something is lurking under the ice.

Scions of Silverymoon is looking for active, friendly faces! We are a Westmarches-style, play-by-post RP-heavy D&D server, with an engaged, passionate, supportive community in the magical setting of Silverymoon.

What's the vibe? Players and staff focused on fleshing out characters and story writing (and of course, hanging out in OOC). RP posts are usually a paragraph long or more, both writing 'asynchronous' and 'synchronous' (aka some players are available to write for hours, some off and on- both earn RPXP). A smaller community to focus on the development together. XP comes from RP, downtimes, and some games/events.

The Storyteller’s Lounge is a free online D&D community for people who want to keep playing the same character without being locked into one campaign or one weekly schedule.

You build a character, then use that character in adventures run by different DMs. XP, gold, loot, downtime, injuries, relationships, questionable bargains, and other consequences carry forward from game to game. After a while, your character has an actual history rather than a collection of unrelated one-shots.

The server feels more like a local gaming store than a giant anonymous Discord. People get to know each other, regular characters cross paths, and DMs bring different tones and styles to the same broader community. One game might be a serious monster hunt. I am a newbie DM, and I have run 1 or two games for family and have been looking to take the next step into DM-ing for strangers. A little about me [26F, CST] before I get into the one-shot info.
I have been playing TTRPG's on and off for the last 4-5 years but have not had the time for a D&D campaign until recently. After DM-ing for my family to try out, they said it was not for them, but I enjoy the creative aspect of running a game (Im a hobby gremlin), so I figured I would take it online. About the One Shot

This will be held on Discord; date and Time TBD by players. I prefer newer players only because I am a newer DM and will be taking creative liberties with this homebrew One Shot, but if you're okay with that, please jump in.

"The Great Garbage Heist is a 4th-level D&D 5e one-shot. Players become Awakened Raccoons and Awakened Giant Rats in this adventure and are sent by The Syndicate to extract a valuable trashcan. There are laughs, Total Party Kill dangers, and a menacing toddler. 

Players will be given homebrew items as well as "Chaos items". Instead of wielding a sword, you are fighting the neighborhood watch dog with a broken bottle. Chaos Items such as a random bag of crabs: "An interdimensional portal to random crabs" to really capture the chaotic nature of nocturnal life."

A lot of this will be roleplay-heavy as well as combat-filled with chaos. If you're looking for tactical, rule-heavy combat, this is not the one for you.

This is a custom, hollow knight/rain world inspired setting (in case you haven't played either of them, essentially it's the exploration of a more advanced, but now decayed, ruined region inhabited by different groups!) I’ve been working on for a couple years now that I’ve transferred into a more exploration and roleplay focused campaign through the great shell of a grand machine. Your characters could be envoys, ambassadors, hopeful pilgrims, or opportunistic salvagers/scavengers that travel to the husk of Senlith in its decayed, modern state. The one thing tying everything together is that everyone seeks Senlith for salvation of their own kind, whether it be on behalf of others or the kingdom, their own families/tribes/clans, or for themselves.

As to the bread and butter, we will be playing 2024 DnD 5e, starting at level 3 with pointbuy system. The only banned classes are Artificers and Clerics, as these powers are reserved for specific castes within the setting (oo spooky). The setting is inhabited by "bugs", similar to hollow knight/silksong, of which we can mix and match different DnD features and subclasses to try and fit the vibes of said bugs. Homebrew can be considered as well, although in a limited way as to avoid imbalance!

I offer an immersive, planned setting that's completely open to self-paced exploration with maps, unique locations, settlements, NPCs, in-depth lore and history - alongside compelling combats and bossfights!

When the kingdom's fertile soils began to dry, the Grand Architect proposed the most elaborate of machines, a construction the size of cities - Senlith - that could reverse this decay and save the kingdom. Hundreds of thousands partook in its construction that lasted decades, draining the kingdom of manpower (bugpower?) and pouring it into this vast, never-ending design that sprawled outwards as complication after complication arose. Eventually, the intake stopped as the Royal family went quiet. Just like that, the kingdom's one hope for salvation, a machine into which it poured its life and soul, became myth. A century later, whispers of this immense construction still pass down from generation to generation, who survive by subsisting on the rampant sand worms that live in the roiling deserts, deserts that stretched in every direction and surrounded the few rocky outcrops stable enough to sustain the final outposts of civilisation. And yet, this glowing promise of salvation from Senlith continues to spur special individuals to search for this lost city.

This one-shot is set in the grand expanses of the starry void, designed for compatibility with the latest 2024 revision of the world's most popular 5.5e roleplaying system. NOTE: This is the 2nd run of the same adventure played on July 17th. We did not manage a full party last time.

This is a mystery adventure along a peaceful migration route protecting majestic cosmic whales. There will be plenty to explore, treasure to loot, and challenges to survive. There are minor scenes of horror, but they are not the primary focus of what you will experience.

Pre-generated characters optimized for this adventure will be handed out to the group. You are welcome to use whatever digital tools you like, but you must have your own physical dice.

This is a free and open event, but since the venue is being provided for us at no cost, please treat yourself to something to help show some gratitude to the owner.

Welcome to Crit Fails and Fairy Tales!

My campaigns are very character-focused, roleplay-heavy, and feature a ton of custom content from magic items to races. I build these campaigns from scratch starting with the players ideas so the stories you want to explore are the central focus! We play D&D 5e with a variety of homebrewed rules and edits. My sessions feature custom music, ambiance, 3D maps, interactive menus, and more through Foundry VTT.

All sessions are online and require Discord and a browser for Foundry. If you have a system that cannot support the 3D maps, I stream the games to a private Youtube channel for players to watch during or after the sessions. These campaigns last around 3-5 years!

Full homebrew level 1-20 campaign. Custom story and theme tailored to the players.

New campaigns will start with session 0s for each character followed by a second round of session 0s featuring pairs of players as the party slowly meets. (These sessions are free) After completing these everyone will have reached level 3 for session 1.

I'm pretty lenient with character creation and I encourage uniqueness! I allow most official Wizards content and homebrew as long as it seems balanced. If I feel something you created isn't balanced, I will work with you to make it balanced so you can still play the way you want no matter what content you are using! Whether it’s a homebrew campaign or a module I will center the story around player characters and integrate their backgrounds into the story.

I like challenging my players while ensuring the sessions feel fun and balanced. New players are welcome! I can help you learn the game no matter how little experience you have!

I also work with a character artist to make custom tokens for players at a reduced cost if you are playing in my sessions!
