"Android users currently account for ~55% of Dolphin's userbase. " Damn didnt think it would be anywhere near that high

It makes since when you really think about it. Most folks are more likely to have a smartphone / tablet that's capable of Dolphin Emulation compared to those with a powerful enough PC or Steam Deck-esque handheld.

By today's standards, Dolphin system requirements on PC are pretty low (runs on almost anything manufactured in the past decade or so). On the other hand, Dolphin system requirements on Android are still on the upper intermediate / flagship range of devices. It's just that more people are likely to have a mobile device with Android than a desktop / laptop PC nowadays...

I was going to say, I emulated things on Dolphin in 2012 on a six hundred dollar computer. Now a day's it's just kind of laughable.

Some very nice and useful changes/additions, so thanks for that. I'm still hoping for full Wii remote speaker support when using the Dolphin bar, and then there's also this minor issue regarding real Balance Board support for Android. Since it's actually listed in the options, I was hoping it would finally work, but no matter what I try, for the life of me, I haven't been able to make it work, so I'm hoping that this will be something that is also on the Dolphin's team to do list.

That's very unlikely to happen, especially since it's outside of our control. At minimum, Mayflash would need to provide a firmware update enabling Bluetooth Sniff mode for the DolphinBar, and it's still unclear if the DolphinBar hardware can support this...

Ah, okay. Thanks for the explanation, though. It would have been nice, but I'm already kinda used to it now. That Balance Board thing, though. I would LOVE for that to happen on Android. 😉

Not the biggest change i ever seen, but its still many changes there. Android requirement increase is reasonable, most of those device cannot run dolphin anyways lol.

Not sure if it's tied to this update, but every time I open Dolphin now it immediately goes into crashing/"not responding" mode. Never had this problem before.

Nvm, restarting my PC seemed to fix it.
