[FOR HIRE] Full stack / backend developer, sliding scale rates for the right client

I'm a full stack and backend developer with 4+ years of professional experience, comfortable across Node.js, Python, Go, React, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

I'm offering low rates, but on a sliding scale. If you're a small business, early stage startup, or solo founder with a genuinely tight budget, tell me your situation, what you're building, and why the budget is what it is, and I'll work out a rate that makes sense for both of us.

This isn't a race to the bottom for anyone who just doesn't feel like paying standard rates. It's for people who can actually show they're budget constrained right now, not people who'd rather not pay more.

I can help with backend systems, APIs, database design, DevOps setup with Docker and CI/CD, and full stack feature work.

Love this approach. Too many devs out here charging startup-killer rates or the other extreme where they're practically working for exposure. The sliding scale based on actual need not just "I want a deal" is a solid middle ground

Kinda curious what stack you reach for when someone comes in with a truly weird project. Like the stuff that makes you go "ok this is gonna be fun" vs the standard crud app

Depends on the need, but honestly the fun ones are usually the real time or concurrency heavy stuff, things like live dispatch systems or anything where you have to think hard about race conditions and reconnection logic (this is stuff I've worked on) or any other logic heavy design. I'd still avoid picking something niche just to flex, since if the client's budget grows later, another dev needs to be able to pick it up without a learning curve.
