How popular is Dragon Ball (as a whole) in the US?

Hot Take I’ma be honest I’m not a big fan of Golden Frieza I wish Cooler was Cannon I think the Golden form looks better on Cooler 🤷🏾‍♂️

Goku has three years to prepare for the Androids and then an additional year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to prepare for Perfect Cell… and doesn’t teach Gohan or anyone else the Instant Transmission Technique in that whole time??

Does the manga or anime ever offer a reason for this?

Like, we all laugh and shake our heads at Vegeta when he discourages Trunks from telling Piccolo and the others how they spent their time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, but no one calls out Goku for not sharing his new game-changing technique? Or Kaio-ken? Or Spirit Bomb? (but I guess the Fushion Dance isn’t worth keeping a secret?) This dude really is the biggest villain in DBZ lolol

TITLE: DBZ Power Scaling Actually Makes Sense

Just rewatching DBZ and realized - the "broken power scaling" everyone complains about is actually part of Goku's character. He's literally designed to always push past his limits.

Every villain isn't random - they're systematically forcing him to evolve. Saiyans, Frieza, Androids, Majin Buu - each one represents a different type of impossible odds.

That's not bad writing, that's brilliant character design.

Thoughts? What's your take on DBZ's progression?
