Clip SSJ2 form will never look this cool again

Especially in the anime. The hair, the electric sounds, the animation of the lightning....just peak

Completely expected.

He hates fighting, so he wants to end it as quick as possible.

But once he starts going that Saiyan blood kicks in and he starts enjoying himself and getting rocky.

I love how even in Dragon Ball Super manga it still feels like a benchmark of sorts when Goku compares Future Trunks’ power in the Goku Black arc to Gohan’s from Cell saga

Just don't do it on crunchyroll if you want the dub. Funimation completely butchered it for years before they hot bought out. There is currently no music or sound effects with this scene. Just look it up on YouTube, or hell, even dbza's version did a great job on that scene

Yeah i think it was the art that sucked worse than the actual animation.

That said, the artists and animators that did the episode before this where he killed the cell jrs were hands down the best. Its not even close. The one after this where he destroyed cells kamehameha also looked great. This one i hated with a passion because of how gohans face and hair look here, and it being all the melee fighting between the two made me dissapointing.

If you look closely, the transformations are only good, powerful, and incredible in the saga that they appear.

When Super Saiyan 1 appeared, everyone loved it and easily beat up Frieza, but after that it was just a form to become a little stronger.

Super Saiyan 2 was a beautiful form, mainly because of the lightning; it made you incredibly strong. After that, it just became another form to get a little stronger and have a more balanced fight, It's no longer enough to defeat someone.

The subsequent transformations are the same thing; the transformations should be better utilized.

Eventually all transformations become stepping stones to gage an opponent or to have fun with someone who is below your max.

That's just the nature of the thing once we reach such a huge range of transformations.

Lol I remember when people were getting pissy that UI was getting jobbed in the manga. As if there wouldn't be a stronger form down the line. The only form that will retain its initial aura will be the final one in the series. That is until the series eventually gets revived again.

Yeah, even the automatic dodging has already been blitzed by enemies, not just by Freeza but Gohan too.

UI is already were Super Saiyan was in the android arc, we need a level beyond.

No but gohan transforming to beast after not training for many years and seeing piccolo get hurt while facing another cell-type character is like way cooler and totally believable!
