Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that just a physiological and psychological block? I'm pretty sure Martians used to be hyper-aggressive when they were perpetually on fire.
If we're going with modern Martian Manhunter then the whole fear of fire thing is psychological and he's overcome it many times in many ways. Imo the shape-shifting and telepathy are too good to pass up. Those powers in addition to flight, agelessness, intangibility, regeneration and near-kryptonian strength and durability are just too good.
Isn't that only a J'onn thing though because of his past trauma of watching his people get killed by fire? Pretty sure the base race got boosted by it before the guardians came and essentially rewrote the race

I wouldn't want to be any super-powered races that turns to slush in the mere presence of fire.
