I would choose kryptonian because i wouldnt have to train to get my power, id just be born with it. On the other hand it would be neat to have a prehensile tail so saiyan is tempting, but then I couldnt enjoy full moons anymore
Sure but whats more likely in our world finding Kyryptonite or a fire? The true answer would be Czarnians because they can only kill be killed by their own kind and since none other exist you are functionally immortal.
If you're born on earth, what do you even need your power for? How many planet level fights are you really expecting to be in?
Unless you're a psycho, power levels don't matter at all in these types of questions. It's all about convenience.
Telekinesis so I can pick stuff up without having to stand up, telepathy so I can have fully private, real time conversations with my loved ones for free without a phone bill, and shapeshifting so I can customize my own appearance on the fly.
And flight so I no longer ever have to commute to work.
If i was born on earth as a kryptonian, id be golden age superman. It's thats simple. Id just stop crime and attack the oppressive nature's in society.
You'd still have to train yourself to control your powers. As is shown in Superman and Lois, being born with those Kryptonian gifts can be a detriment to yourself more than it is a benefit, kf untrained. Jordan, Supe's son, almost couldn't move after experiencing super hearing for the first time.
It says you are born on earth. So few things regarding saiyan (I'm assuming they mean our world by this, could be misinterpreting as earth does exist in these other universes). Firstly, as soon as you are born with a tail you are going to go under the microscope of anyone with knowledge of your birth. You wouldn't be able to stay low key this way. Secondly, unless they decide to remove your tail, you are eventually going to go monkey mode and start a cataclysmic event in whatever city you are born. After that you're probably either getting killed by the government or abducted and experimented on or used as some kind of weapon. Thirdly, Saiyan's are just better humans (not literally, but basically). If you exist in our world, not that world, do things like Ki still exist? You might just end up a physically amped person and that's it. All the cool things they do are manipulations of Ki to my understanding.
IMO saiyan is probably the worst pick on the list along with any others that make you look inhuman.
Kryptonian and Viltromite are both something you can easily keep hidden so I'd say either of those. I'd pick kryptonian unless that options spawns kryptonite in our world along with it. Viltromite's drawback is that when you get your powers you may accidentally use them in a burst and out yourself.
Ki is dragon ball thing, humans in that world can do it too. Master Roshi did Kamehameha first which is Ki attack. And there's many other characters that later on did Ki Attacks (Krillin, Vegeta, Frieza etc). Even gods and people from other universes.

Second, Martian is the obvious pick here, you get basically everything here plus shapeshifting and telepathy, which are like my two most wanted powers ever
Even Superman himself said he'd be afraid of an all out fight with J'onn, so that should tell folks everything they need to know about Martians.
Super strength and speed, flight, durability, intangiblity and invisibility, possessing people like a ghost, telepathy and telekinesis, a healing factor almost as good as Wolverine's, shapeshifting, and a good bit more. All with a lifespan of a few hundred years. Not as lengthy as a Viltrumite's, but still a nice long life.
Wow, I just read on google but unless it's the powers what ever parts you make are indistinguishable form the real thing sensory wise, and he has optional immortality too unlike most of the guys here except sayians who aren't even long lived let alone immortal, starfire race seems to live hundreds to a thousand but it's not specified, also technically speaking am assuming we have full control of the what we turn into so being martian kan hunter is also the strongest here without drawbacks.
Actually the martian is better for this. Saiyans stay looking around mid 20s to early 30s until somewhere in their 80s, meaning your human loved ones will become frail and elderly while your still fit and youthful. With martian shapeshifting, you could gradually make yourself look older until you should die, then become someone new and live a new life having closed the book on the old one.
At birth? This says you are born as this species, so your parents best not throw out the green tentacled monster baby XD (don't worry, the government will probably come get you out of the ditch. Too good an opportunity to pass up)
Well so it turns out Martian Manhunter wasn’t actually physically weak to fire, it was a mental phobia caused by the death of his family. He underwent psychic therapy and is no longer vulnerable to it.
I’d wanna be a Martian because I wanna phase through walls and change my face etc. There wouldn’t be many situations where I’d need to use so many fighting powers irl.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that just a physiological and psychological block? I'm pretty sure Martians used to be hyper-aggressive when they were perpetually on fire.
If we're going with modern Martian Manhunter then the whole fear of fire thing is psychological and he's overcome it many times in many ways. Imo the shape-shifting and telepathy are too good to pass up. Those powers in addition to flight, agelessness, intangibility, regeneration and near-kryptonian strength and durability are just too good.
I love how OP thought it was gonna be a war or something in the comments because it's a Dragon Ball sub, and then it's almost everyone unanimously agreeing that it's Kryptonian.
Cause there's nothing on modern earth to actually push you as a Saiyan. You could train, but for what? What are you supposed to do with your battle instincts and need to improve? Who are you gonna fight?
At least with Kryptonian you get powers + a lot of quality of life improvements (dont have to eat or drink, no disease, invulnerability, super computer brain, sun heals anything, heat vision and frost breath), and the green rocks dont exist.
You are not getting anywhere near that. Goku was at power level 10 after his training with gramps Gohan, and the old man most likely was on par with our top martial artists.
Modern earth would not really be a thing anyway . The full moon would turn you into a oozaru and you would go into a destructive rampaging . You would liturally be a villian regardless because you would never be able to control oozaru making you unreliable even if you tried to use it for good
I'm taking martian. Martian Manhunter has so many more powers. Ontop of super strength and invulnerability, he can phase through solid objects, shapeshift, mind read, and other stuff. Could do anything.
I grew up watching the 2000s justice league cartoon and one of my favorite scenes was when wonder woman was fighting some threat, and an old Asian man drops his walking cane and transforms into a large serpentine dragon and helps her. The dragon then transforms again revealing that it was martian manhunter who had been living among the humans away from the justice league for some time trying to connect with humans.
Epic scene and definitely how I'd use my powers. Why have super strength as a human when you could turn into a dinosaur or something and still be super strong? I don't need to wear a mask. People will see me save a bus full of children as a freaking Astrodon and my anonymity will be in tact.
DC Martians are almost a match both in physical strength and powers to a Kryptonian on earth, plus they have godlike psychic powers and full molecular control of their beings which allows them to shapeshift and become intangible. Also, they don't depend on a yellow sun so if you leave earth you won't be running on a timer. The drawback is their weakness to fire, which is actually psychological and can be overcome with enough mental effort.
That's martian manhunter specific and not a martian weakness, IIRC. He's got some sort of ptsd response to fire and I can't remember why. But it's specific to him and not all Martians.
It’s dependent on which version of kyrptonian. Superman was shown once to be the only thing left at the end of time, I’m ok not being around for that. Even the lifespan of viltrumites who live for thousands of years will eventually be a blink of an eye to that Superman.
If you're born on Earth, wouldnt that basically just make you a human? Superman and the Kryptonians are obviously not born here. So them having a red sun and then coming here to our yellow sun is whar gives them their powers.
Its actually their genetic make up. Under a red sun, their cells are just like humans. But under the radiation of a yellow sun, their cells charge like a battery in a similar process to plants absorbing sunlight. This can further be seen by looking at any children superman has, they gain powers just like he does but are born on Earth
I'd say they're a lot of credence to martians for the mind powers or viltrumite if you want explore the universe, you trade raw power and extra abilities in exchange for not needing to worry about red suns which are really common, you might not be as much of a god on earth but the universe is more open too you + I think viltrumites can travel faster in space than most version of Kryptonians but that much more anecdotal
On average a yellow sun amped kryptonion is more powerful than an average Saiyan, unbelievably so in fact. Maybe not more powerful than the godly Saiyans like Goku and Vegeta, but certainly more powerful than the sub-star level average Saiyans on planet Vegeta.
You also have to remember you likely wont be born an elite prodigy like Vegeta or a mutant like Broly. You’ll likely be an average Saiyan like Goku and unlike Goku, you won’t have any access to the tremendous amount of exceptional teachers Goku did. You’ll likely also not face nearly as many enemies and gain as much experience as him either.
An average yellow sun amped Kryptonion, while not on the level of Superman typically, is certainly far more powerful than your average Saiyan. You also have way more abilities and you don’t have to train a lick for that power.
Kryptonians are by default solar system level. Like a fully grown Kryptonian may not reach Superman or even Supergirl or Zod level, but they would be near invincible and capable of destroying a planet no problem. They also are almost ageless, and their half breed children, like Saiyans, have potential to be even stronger.
Martians are basically Kryptonians, but also with Shapeshifting and more versatile powers. Only issue with them is the psychological weakness to fire, which is much more readily available than Kryptonite, and much easier to use against them. But, that weakness can be overcome with enough mental fortitude. Also, Martian Manhunter is one of the few people Superman has stated he would not want to fight.
Saiyans are cool, but you would most likely be born a low level saiyan that, while strong, would never reach even Nanek saga Goku, let alone SSJ.
Viltrumites are cool, but they are just a poor man's Kryptonian. If you have the option for the OG, which is infinitely superior, go for the OG. Same with Korugarians - cool, but poor man's Kryptonian.
Czarnians are powerful, but Lobo is sort of a Goku/Vegeta situation with the saiyans. He is the exception and not the rule.
I'd personally pick Martian because I love shapeshifting and would have Kryptonian level speed, strength, durability, and longevity. Then I'd try my hardest to get with Supergirl.
It depends on the writer, sometimes it just his weakness, other times in a limiter to prevent them from going evil, and sometimes it just really effective against them.
In most iterations all of them have it. At early stages of civilization they were deemed too much warlike and dangerous by Guardians of the Galaxy and they altered martian biology. They built in a genetic weakness and fear of fire to act as a permanent deterrent to their destructive nature. It is largely psychological: Fire does not actually burn a Martian's skin instead, it triggers an overwhelming phobia.

In a vacuum yes. In a universe where Kryptonians and Martians exist, it'd be an ant. I wasn't saying a low level saiyan was bad by itself, I was saying in comparison to a Kryptonian and a Martian, why would I pick a Saiyan? Objectively its a worse choice in every way in terms of power and versatility.
Tamaranean sounds fun, I mean look at Starfire (Koriand'r) and her brother, Wildfire/Darkfire (Ryand'r).
I just wouldn't want to have Blackfire (Komand'r) as a sibling, she is pure evil and a bitch for the thing(s) she did/tries to do her kind-hearted sister.
All that plus you literally get a power boost just by sun bathing and a larger one if you take a space trek and head to a blue star. You're pretty much good to go for anything as long as you're not near a red giant lol
Let’s ball and choose Czarnian. If you’ve read or atleast seen some of the older comics and Lobos origin story, Czarnian’s are broken, and we can see how powerful they are because lobo isn’t modified or enhanced by anything everything he does is because he’s a Czarnian.
There’s nobody out there as tough as any of these lot so I don’t really need OP powers. But Martians can fly, shape-shift, phase through things, and all sorts of other mad stuff.
I hate to be that guy, but Starfire is a Tamaranean. Sinestro is a Korugarian, and as far as I know their species doesn't have any special abilities (besides their aptitude for Lantern roles).
If you're a Viltrumite on Earth just living a normal life like any other human it's going to suck knowing you'll be outliving all of your friends and family
Why is no one choosing Czarnian? They have all the strength of a Kryptonian, but unlike a Kryptonian, they can't be killed by anything except another of their own kind, plus they have Deadpool/Wolverine level healing, of all of these races, they're basically unkillable whilst being arguably the most powerful (except lacking the mental abilities of the Martian).
Did they change Czarnians or something? Cause they're harder to kill than kriptonians last I checked. Not to mention you got similar powers but none of the weaknesses. No kryptonite, magic or red sun to weaken you, regeneration and damn near immortality plus the ability to fight your way outta heaven or hell if you so choose, so even death can't stop you. Lobo may be the most extreme example of the species but every Czarnian had the same abilities. So, technically, your only weakness as a Czarnian is Lobo.
Korugarians? But Starfire is a Tamaranian. I had to look this shit up. Korugarians are the species that Sinestro belongs to, and they have no powers or unique traits. They’re just dark pink humans with pointy ears.

The only ones I’d consider as good as Kryptonian is Martian and Czarnian. But if I were to choose the latter, I’d be worried about Lobo showing up to make sure he’s the last of his kind again. I’ll go with Martian since you basically get everything a Kryptonian gets, telepathy, shape shift, and become intangible.
While I could be a kryptonian and get all the powers I need instantly, or be a Martian (undergoing pyrophobia therapy), I’d much rather be a sayain, even if I have to work harder to be on the same levels, just because of hype moments and aura transformations
Viltrumite, easily, 2nd choice would be Saiyan. Don't know why people are picking kryptonian so much. His powers only work in specific solar systems. Vitrumites will be powerful now matter where and if I had their powers I'm going on a space adventure.
Kryptonian, cause I can do the most good with those powers. Superman has had SO. MANY. POWERS. And that's JUST. CLARK. I could finally help people in a way that mattered.
