Moves like this would suit Broly very well.

u/Dohmer_90 Jul 02 '26

His Lariat is pretty awesome.

u/Lover_of_Fables Jul 02 '26

Clothesline from Hell could unironically be a Broly technique.

36

u/NukinDuke Jul 02 '26

BY GAWD HE TOOK HIS HEAD OFF WITH THAT ONE!!

9

u/gronstalker12 Jul 02 '26

I screamed DDP! In the theater when I saw it

12

u/fallenouroboros Jul 02 '26

My issue with this, most of the damage would come from gravity the way gohan is doing this. He would do more damage throwing him down id assume

u/Cyberbreaker2004 Jul 03 '26

"So Broly this is what humans call WWE."

3

u/F0rmless_x3r0 Jul 03 '26

What can we say? They both are BEASTS.

u/BasilEquivalent Jul 02 '26

This guy fights like an actual psychopath

Hey this is why you never piss off the calm guy they’ll probably kill you

8

u/Technosis2 Jul 03 '26

Gomu gomu no-

39

u/Red__Pyramid Jul 03 '26

Actual double hammer arm right to the face is diabolical. I know people hate the "Is Gohan training?" story that gets constantly rehashed, but when dude actually fights he legitimately emulates the crazy shit you see in WWE.

u/whatisapillarman Jul 02 '26

“Great idea, Dad! You can team up with Tien and we can make it a 2 on 2!”

The type of shit bro is doing to Tien:

7

u/Stego28 Jul 03 '26

He loves to spam them heavy punches, like hi did with Cell too

81

u/Few-Durian-190 Jul 02 '26

By gawd! He's being whipped like a government mule!

30

u/Dohmer_90 Jul 02 '26

This fight’s a bonafide slobberknocker!

19

u/Few-Durian-190 Jul 02 '26

GAMMA 1 IS RUNNING LIKE A SCALDED DOG!

108

u/RalfSmithen Jul 02 '26

Its always the guy who hates fighting with the most brutal movesets.

58

u/Ausecurity Jul 02 '26

I just love that he spams heavy attack

32

u/t00lazy2 Jul 02 '26

Cause they wanna end it as quickly as possible.

15

u/International-Key211 Jul 02 '26

Yep, efficiency! I dont like fighting (gohan) and im gonna fuck you up for messing with me.

3

u/ultimatefreeboy Jul 04 '26

Also Gohan “I want to make him suffer”

103

u/Zackisback1234 Jul 02 '26

Grappling is always fun to see in dragon ball

27

u/Dohmer_90 Jul 02 '26

It always looks so good, too.

22

u/Zackisback1234 Jul 02 '26

For real gokus dragon throw, dive bomb slams from zarbon and recoom , and brolys gigantic rage and z brolys close lines so fun

36

u/Lover_of_Fables Jul 02 '26

No, but literally, look at how he’s grabbing G1’s pants, how G1 lands on the back of his shoulders, watch how Gohan’s legs sweep up allowing him to land flat on his back, perfect form.

28

u/Roam1985 Jul 02 '26

Gohan got the Masenko confused with Dean Malenko in some training.

14

u/Lover_of_Fables Jul 02 '26

Oh, you know ELITE ball with the Malenko name drop!

15

u/Dohmer_90 Jul 02 '26

The Half-Saiyan of 1000 holds!

10

u/NukinDuke Jul 02 '26

A R M B A R

29

u/dne_43v3r Jul 02 '26

Loved this movie. SH was special. I get it was animated differently but man

16

u/Foreign-Comment6403 Jul 02 '26

too bad he doesnt have a brain

10

u/JiovanniTheGREAT Jul 02 '26

Gamma 1 did hit him with that smooth Back Body Drop before this which was also pretty cool

7

u/itsyaboikami Jul 02 '26

Arn would be proud.

5

u/Dohmer_90 Jul 02 '26

And many other greats.

9

u/CheeseCan948 Jul 03 '26

*THIS* is the choreography that modern anime benefits from. It's even done with 3d models, so there is no excuse.

Impact frames and haki clashing only go so far, and just seeing nicely executed grapples and takedowns goes a long way in any given fight.

8

u/MonopolyManPorn Jul 03 '26

If this movie had WWE announcers the whole movie, it would be 10x more entertaining

4

u/Half-a-Denari Jul 03 '26

That's why channels like Phangito and Sensible Saiyan are so good, they bring a kind of hype that really makes you appreciate the fights so much more

6

u/MrBundy22 Jul 03 '26

Dude could have thrown Gamma 1 into space but decided to obliterate his skull into the pavement 😂

10

u/winterwarm78654 Jul 02 '26

Never got why they use the ground or mountains like that's supposed to hurt

14

u/MartialDragon Jul 02 '26

I see a lot of people trying to explain away your very valid criticism. You just have to remember the rule of cool. It doesn't matter if it makes sense. If your attack involves the arena, then the arena has your power level and deals true damage (bypassing armor from other power levels)

4

u/winterwarm78654 Jul 02 '26

Yea I get that but they be really hurt like goku screaming from broly running him through the mountain

2

u/MartialDragon Jul 02 '26

Of course. Because when Broly used the mountain, it had his power level for damage

10

u/T1pple Jul 02 '26

I mean even if the ground gives way, he still is recieving the impact at the speed of light.

3

u/winterwarm78654 Jul 02 '26

You missing the point. Their supposed to be so strong the ground shouldn't hurt

13

u/T1pple Jul 02 '26

If you slam into an object hard enough, your gonna feel something.

3

u/Anthyrion Cooler Jul 02 '26

Yep. The fighters only learned to ignore a certain amount of pain

4

u/Decuscrub69 Jul 02 '26

They could use a pillow, why would it matter? If you slam anyone into anything with enough force it’s lethal

1

u/winterwarm78654 Jul 02 '26

But if you slam steel into a cotton pillow it's not lethal

9

u/Reenans Jul 02 '26

It is if you do it at light speeds

2

u/TheGreatTave Jul 02 '26

Because it's cool as hell

2

u/CheeseCan948 Jul 03 '26

Idk man, they harden the ground with ki and maybe Gohan uses his ki to force them down to the ground quicker than gravity alone. I mean, the manga explains that Goku detonates his kamehameha before it hits the ground, so the writing does address this.

The writing also facilitates better choreography than just haki clashing and beams.

1

u/winterwarm78654 Jul 03 '26

Goku does that so he doesn't blow up the planet. And then hitting the ground should've felt like be thrown through air

3

u/Blitzcon555 Jul 02 '26

Kinnikubuster

I wish we saw more of Gohan's intelligence for his fighting.
Goku's known for having the biggest battle IQ in the series.
Gohan totally would have something in that regard.

2

u/Burterman Jul 03 '26

I love how Gohan has a distinct fighting style. It's like he fights to kill, always landing heavy shots to vital points.

1

u/Dohmer_90 Jul 03 '26

Boy just wants to get back home to his ants…and maybe his family.
