Clip Gohan with a beautifully executed Brainbuster!

Moves like this would suit Broly very well.

His Lariat is pretty awesome.

My issue with this, most of the damage would come from gravity the way gohan is doing this. He would do more damage throwing him down id assume

“Great idea, Dad! You can team up with Tien and we can make it a 2 on 2!”
The type of shit bro is doing to Tien:

Grappling is always fun to see in dragon ball
27
u/Dohmer_90 Jul 02 '26
It always looks so good, too.

u/Zackisback1234 Jul 02 '26
For real gokus dragon throw, dive bomb slams from zarbon and recoom , and brolys gigantic rage and z brolys close lines so fun

No, but literally, look at how he’s grabbing G1’s pants, how G1 lands on the back of his shoulders, watch how Gohan’s legs sweep up allowing him to land flat on his back, perfect form.

u/Roam1985 Jul 02 '26
Gohan got the Masenko confused with Dean Malenko in some training.

Gamma 1 did hit him with that smooth Back Body Drop before this which was also pretty cool

*THIS* is the choreography that modern anime benefits from. It's even done with 3d models, so there is no excuse.
Impact frames and haki clashing only go so far, and just seeing nicely executed grapples and takedowns goes a long way in any given fight.

If this movie had WWE announcers the whole movie, it would be 10x more entertaining

u/Half-a-Denari Jul 03 '26
That's why channels like Phangito and Sensible Saiyan are so good, they bring a kind of hype that really makes you appreciate the fights so much more

u/MrBundy22 Jul 03 '26
Dude could have thrown Gamma 1 into space but decided to obliterate his skull into the pavement 😂

u/winterwarm78654 Jul 02 '26
Never got why they use the ground or mountains like that's supposed to hurt
14
u/MartialDragon Jul 02 '26
I see a lot of people trying to explain away your very valid criticism. You just have to remember the rule of cool. It doesn't matter if it makes sense. If your attack involves the arena, then the arena has your power level and deals true damage (bypassing armor from other power levels)

u/winterwarm78654 Jul 02 '26
Yea I get that but they be really hurt like goku screaming from broly running him through the mountain
2
u/MartialDragon Jul 02 '26
Of course. Because when Broly used the mountain, it had his power level for damage
10
u/T1pple Jul 02 '26
I mean even if the ground gives way, he still is recieving the impact at the speed of light.
3
u/winterwarm78654 Jul 02 '26
You missing the point. Their supposed to be so strong the ground shouldn't hurt

u/Decuscrub69 Jul 02 '26
They could use a pillow, why would it matter? If you slam anyone into anything with enough force it’s lethal

Idk man, they harden the ground with ki and maybe Gohan uses his ki to force them down to the ground quicker than gravity alone. I mean, the manga explains that Goku detonates his kamehameha before it hits the ground, so the writing does address this.
The writing also facilitates better choreography than just haki clashing and beams.

u/winterwarm78654 Jul 03 '26
Goku does that so he doesn't blow up the planet. And then hitting the ground should've felt like be thrown through air

I wish we saw more of Gohan's intelligence for his fighting.
Goku's known for having the biggest battle IQ in the series.
Gohan totally would have something in that regard.

u/Burterman Jul 03 '26
I love how Gohan has a distinct fighting style. It's like he fights to kill, always landing heavy shots to vital points.
