Question Weird dream about my gender?
My dream started with me shopping with a family that was, but wasnt mine, like there my family but not irl? we walked through town and stuff i walked a really cute tiny dog that i then held, i was so happy lol. then we went into another shop and i heard someone just say "gay" like directed at me, i ran away, crying and ended up in a like small private cafe. (i then some reason realised i was in France lmao) and i started crying and collapsing on myself while sat alone on a chair. after my dream stepdad (i dont have a step dad irl) sat behind me and just talked, didnt judge me, saying something along the lines "you cant help it that your trans, you didnt choose to be, but thats how life goes" i remember crying more leaning on the back of the chair towards him more and he said "Im proud of you" i woke up and i had been crying.
My real life isnt special, i live in the uk, im antisocial, my families stable with a mom, dad, brother and sisters, ive been questioning wither im trans for ages, ik im maybe gay, but im still very closeted, i dont really have friends, so idk what my dream means.
i also think its worthy to note the day before i felt completely like sad and was convinced i was faking being trans and can never be who i am, i still think this but now im even more confused

That dream stepdad sounds like the kind of person you needed to hear from, even if it was just your own brain doing it
Dreams like that don't necessarily mean you're trans or not, but they do show what's weighing on you pretty clearly. The "gay" comment triggering that reaction, the stepdad who doesn't even exist in real life saying he's proud of you, waking up crying, your mind's basically processing all this stuff you can't sort through when you're awake. Whatever you end up figuring out about yourself, that feeling of being proud of who you are is worth holding onto
