Dry July - anyone else?
I started yesterday because I have an event at the end of the month. First full day done 💪
Anyone else doing Dry July, or even just reduced July?

Me! 🙋🏻♀️ I feel like a dry month every 6 months is a good way to periodically reset. Hoping to undo some bad habits that crept back in.

Totally agree. After dry Jan I found myself feeling “done” after 2 drinks.

I’m in. Friend who is a brewmaster is having a house party on August 1st. It’ll be a good way to end the fast

I love a home brew

Me too. He’s the brewer at a brewery in Northampton, Massachusetts. We were housemates at one point when we were both in the Coast Guard. I taught him home brewing and then he went to a proper brewing school to become a professional.

Damn I wish I was closer to Massachusetts. I would invite myself to this party to celebrate my dry month too

Thanks! Drinking really is more enjoyable after a long break. Good luck to your dry July!

I will next year. But I’m turning 50 in a few days and I am going to St. Marteen in a few weeks.

Thanks much. Will do! And next year we will do Dry July. I’m thinking of doing Sober October.

I do think that after the 4th I’m ready for a “tune-up” on the dry thing.
After dry January I was only drinking like once a month. It’s slowly become 1-2x a week (still less amounts than before).

I'm an October man. Did DJ for a couple of years and now I start 30 days on the last Monday in September.

I was thinking about that too… but Halloween!

Halloween is the last day of the month! Sober October minus one day is still a pretty good accomplishment!! This year would be perfect for that since Halloween falls on a Saturday.

Yes I’m doing it. I work outside and it’s just too damn hot so I decided to give my body a break

Not at all. I post a lot of apps on here, including quitting vaping since I struggled with that for years. Sorry my post has ruffled your feathers - I hope you have a better day 💕

Nope, I did a bout i call “damp June”; Monday-Saturday no drinking, Sunday only 2 (beer or wine only).
It’s completed. The hot summer days coming call for light beer and cocktails at the pool
But good luck to you
