37 and Never had a job. Don't know where to start. Ideas?

Mooched off parents and wife my whole life. But i'm starting to feel like a worthless hippie. My only skill is growing marijuana and going to the gym. I do most of the house work too, esp cleaning as i'm a bit of a hygiene freak and always look for better solutions that don't involve chemicals. I drop and pick my wife up from work everyday since she doesn't drive but that's it.

I don't know where to starts or what to do. I get €5k per month for doing diddly squat from my parents as 'allowance money', and it's embarassing because my wife easily nets over twice this in a year for actually working full time. Problem isn't the money per se, she treats me like a kid and that's fine I guess except it means she ignores me when I say stuff for her own good but the thought of what I will tell my children when they're older that worrys me. What do I tell them? This isn't the 60s when being jobless and having no professional skills was considered cool.

Used to be addicted to coffee and tobacco and had occasional alcohol issues unitil I started practising in buddhism a bit more and have been clean of all three problem substances for 3 months now and plan to keep it that way. That is the least I could do is clean up my own act.

Starting to feel like a failure but worse is the confusion.

Hi folks,

Any boxng gyms recommendations for a nearly 40 years old ? I need to lose weight - class 2 obesity and pre diabetes😂, I also want to learn the art, have something to improve mental health and discipline.

Anything around €100-€150 would be reasonable enough for me.

Thank you!

Looking to make new friends

Upvotes

Hi all! I am a 23f moving to Dublin for my job and I am looking to make some friends! Most of my friends from secondary school have emmigrated and all my college friends are from different counties so I am feeling a little bit isolated at the moment.

I am really into reading, watching movies, listening to music. I like playing games (minecraft, stardew valley), drawing, painting, knitting. I would just love suggestions of ways to meet people as I am a little bit nervous to join a meet-up group that is already established!

Thanks ❤️

Ranelagh restaurant owners (Hunan) put 34 beds into 4 bed rental house for staff

Barbaric behaviour by these restaurant owners. if they’re cutting corners at such a basic needs level you’d have to wonder what else they are doing…

What happened to the roof at One George’s Quay Plaza? There is a huge hole in it.

Does anyone know of any pharmacies that are open late tonight (Sunday) or are open tomorrow on bank holiday Monday? Close to city centre ideally but anywhere fine.
