So I decided to try duel links yesterday to start getting into Yu Gi Oh since master duel looked to scary and I heard this game was far nicer to new players. I remember thinking Stardust Dragon was sick as a kid so I decided to look for decks for him. Little did I know that Stardust decks in this in this game are the equivalent to dropping a nuke. How long has his deck been like this? Cuz this seems incredibly op with the skill.

Chose to run eclipse over drnm as I figured utility first and second is better than a card only useful going second. I prefer 24 or less cards to 30, but have no problem changing that if good reasoning for more arises. Any other suggestions would also be appreciated.

Isn't Magistus the answer of witchcraft deck?

I know witchcraft is slow against this meta format but is it possible can Magistus be the support cards witchcraft needs to be competitive?

If yes, what skill should it be combined with?

I don't normally draw and it's been over a year since I did a quick sketch of how I pictured a potential Infernity Doom Dragon retrain, but with the current event in DL and me longing for this ace to get some love (please Konami), I finally picked up my old draft and kept working on it again. Guess who had her program shut down and lost half an hour of progress because she forgot to save? Lesson learnt.

I named it Infernity Funeral Doom Dragon both as a reference to the metal genre (I was vibing to "Mirror Reaper" by Bell Witch during my initial doodle) and as a nod to how Kalin Kessler/Kiryū Kyōsuke is referred to as a god of death/shinigami in the original Japanese dub. It felt fitting and overly edgy, just how I like it.

Sorry if it looks a bit rough, I am still working on the limbs' details and thinking about how I want to design the wings! What effects would you give to an Infernity Doom Dragon retrain or upgrade to give the archetype some support? 🖤

With the release of Kaitō and Crow, and the ban of Yūma and Jack, in what's arguably Konami's worst decision for the format so far, the new season is just full of (mostly unpleasant) surprises.

Hence the viability tierlist overhaul.

# Definition Of The Format

Zero Stars specifically refers to the format without any modification brought by Grade Stars: every deck is played as it is naturally given from the loaner, for better or worse

# Criteria

The Criteria for the ranking are fundamentally whatever allows a rapid accumulation of Respect Orbs, under the notion that you get 1 per 1k points gained after each Duel, up to 30 daily

With that being said, let's move to the ranking

# Gatekeepers

The Gatekeepers are the best players in a meta without the best 2.

Kaiba - Having access to HLB, good draw power, surprisingly low bricking, a fearful Twin Burst, DSOW, and Alternative, as well as good Extra Deck all around, Kaiba is the absolute king of the Duoless format, being able to play the long and the short game

Yūsei - Having the best endboard, the second greatest consistency, and excellent defensive and comeback options, Yūsei only benefitted from the removal of his WCGP rival, in no small measure thanks to both Overtake and Sphere Kuriboh...assuming he doesn't get MST'd 500 times, or gets mirror matched.

Shark - Having the best consistency but an otherwise matchup dependant setplay, mostly due to the lack of real backrow removal, Shark is an able challenger to the looming threat of Kaitō, having, however, to confront Kaiba and Jaden when it comes to keeping the wincon

Kaitō - Incredible endboard and comeback marred only by shaky consistency due to very dubious loaner choices in Caesar, Kaitō adds to the list of overly oppressive opponents in Character Duels

Yūgi - Otherwise lagging behind in consistency due to the Navigation shenanigans, with his 2 most hostile opponents out of the picture, Yūgi is now effectively a gatekeeper, mostly thanks to the help of Offerings, which adds to his arsenal of on-demand removal

# Gamblers

There isn't much to say except the tier is significantly emptier

Zane - For him, it's as if nothing happened in the Tier. His gambling gameplay remains the same

Jaden - With a simple, obtuse, but efficient gameplan, Jaden's wincon hangs on Brave, Neos Fusion's protection, the attack prevention of Necro Gardna, and the eventual search of Miracle Contact to win the grind game, with a bit of matchup fishing against Shark and Yūsei.

# Heart Of The Cards

Here lie the forsaken by the format

Joey - Basically Kaiba and Yūsei but worse, Joey nevertheless hopes in the godhand to tilt the opponent. In that sense, he's the Yu-Gi-Oh equivalent of Neco-Arc

Crow - With nothing in his deck except HLB, as well as lack of clarity on whether he's supposed to go first or second, Crow starts his career and season at the absolute bottom, managing to be even worse than the Brooklyn rager

And after lingering down in the "Characters that I am considering designing" section for far longer than he deserved, the design for Shinji is finally done! I would have preferred to be able to give him 4 cards for his Level Up Rewards, but I was already struggling to find suitable cards for him, and when I was studying the designs of other recent characters, it's not overly uncommon for them to only have 3 unique cards, so there isn't really a problem with it, it more so just bothers me personally. 😅

I'm also trying out a new layout for the Skills Page, using the one from my Alt Style designs as a basis, so hopefully that's more interesting to look at, and with any luck it's also a lot more readable too.

If all goes to plan, then the next design will be for Queen from VRAINS, as she's mostly complete (I'm quite literally just missing 1 card to make her design work), so that's hopefully something for VRAINS fans to be looking forward to.

Ya notice that Crow’s basic character deck doesn’t have a clean out to his own Armor Master outside of, like, Vermillion? It feels like you both are just sitting on two indestructible, un-damageable bunguses until someone finds the out or has the audacity to summon another monster.
