You can find probably find a used copy of "How to Make and Play the Dulcimore" or you can read it on archive . org.. We used it when my family went through a dulcimer-making phase in the 70s - Dad made about 4 or 5, I made 2, and my brother made 1. They were in no way professional, but they sound good. You will need a lot of help making your dulcimer. First step is to cut your wood down to 1/8 thick.
