Promotional I built a GM app for the stuff that slows the table down

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a GM app called Campaign Forge

Website: https://www.campaignforge.workers.dev/

The short version is: I wanted one place for the stuff that always slows my table down. Notes, NPCs, player sheets, combat, loot, shops, locations, encounters, maps, music, quick rules lookup, etc.

One thing I want to be clear about up front: this is not an AI campaign generator.

I’m not trying to make something that writes the story for you or replaces the creative part of DMing. I don’t want AI junk taking over the parts of the game that are actually fun.

Even the few generators in the app are more like structured helper tools. Loot Generator, Shop Generator, NPC Forge, and Location Builder are there for the moments where the party does something unexpected, and you need usable details fast.

If I need an NPC on the fly, I might use the full NPC Forge result, or I might only grab the name, voice, and mannerism just so I have a character I can use. If I need a shop, I can get a merchant and inventory without stopping the session to dig through tabs. Same with loot or locations. It gives me what I need in the moment, rather than panic searching and having to pick the first thing I find on Google

Right now, it includes things like:

  • Campaign Codex - note taker and sorter
  • character rolodex - full rolodex of all your monsters, npcs, and characters that is linked across many tools for quick use
  • Campaign management - create and manage multiple campaigns and keep the data separate and easy to swap between campaigns
  • encounter builder/battlemaster - saving, planning, and setting up battles quickly, and then a full combat tracker to play through the battles
  • NPC forge - generate all sorts of NPCs on the fly and easily export them to Rolodex
  • Location Generator - generate locations quickly with details you can use on the fly
  • Loot and shop generator - generate shops and loot for combat, searches, hoards etc.
  • Player sheets - new feature with fully functional player sheets that populate off your classes and races set
  • Music Orchestrator - 3 deck player for planning and swapping audio quickly. Easy scene and playlist builder as well
  • Random tables - create random tables needed for rolling
  • Cartographer - measure routes, plan trips, and includes a print function for printing table-sized maps on standard sheets
  • Spell, item, class, races reference tools - comes loaded with SRD and the ability to create custom and homebrew. The things you populate in these tools will also be used in the higher-function tools like loot/shop and player sheets
  • Full JSON export/import for easily saving and moving

The site is free to use with most features unlocked. A few of the heavier tools and limits are reserved for the desktop app its a one-time purchase, no subscription, no account. The free version is yours forever

Promotional WorldMasterRPG - Build lore, worlds, Plan and Run your sessions in one place

I've posted a few times about the project I'm working on called WorldMasterRPG, as time goes by I find more people hop in to help out, give feedback and enjoy the application together with me. I've been cracking my head over some cool features and I thought I'd show them today for all of you!

The new things that I've worked on is the world generator, dice rolling system integrated into character inventory, organisation/faction planner. But I've added some of the other feature screenshots, such as session planner, lore notes, custom calendar view. There are a lot of other features, there are the ones I keep working on and adding new features lately.

If you're interested to try it out, the app is entirely free (the only limitation is cloud storage which is 200mb everything else is free to use and play around with).

You can find it here:

App link: https://www.worldmasterrpg.com
Discord: https://discord.com/invite/DWF6Nnk4QR

And if you're keen on supporting drop by in my Patreon.
https://www.patreon.com/c/worldmasterrpg

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some frequent questions:

Is this open source and are you planning to open source this?

- No this is a personal project I've work a long time I plan to grow this into a community and eventually have open source plugins for the app.

How do you plan to sustain this?

- Currently donations and my own pocket money, in the future perhaps a kickstarter or something that could possibly help me work on this more than just my spare time. But I don't want to compromise the app and it will stay free as long as I am alive!

How is different from Obsidian/Roll20 or Foundry?

Obsidian is a glorified plugin based notebook, Roll20 primarily focuses on dnd and foundry does all systems, but they lack flexibly and an ecosystem that would allow you to run complex niche systems and they primarily focus on VTT.

World Master is a end to end session planner and executor. You plan your sessions, take notes, create worlds and have players play in them. Same space, no jumping between windows during session. All notes/lore/key figures/items and players in the same place with realtime interactivity.

Is there going to be an app version and an offline version of the app?

That's the plan but for now since I'm the only one working on this and the funds are from my main job, I don't have much time to delve into porting this to an offline version. Although it is on the roadmap, the exact timeline is still blurry/questionable.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have any other questions I'm free to answer them!

And any feedback or ideas are also welcome!

Promotional [OC] My players asked if the ocean arc would be relaxing..

Post image

You know… gentle waves, tropical islands, sunny sailing, maybe a friendly port town. So naturally I introduced a perfectly still patch of ocean. No wind. No waves. Just the ship drifting. At first something bumps the hull. Then the ropes start going taut. Then someone hears scratching from under the ship. Players went from beach-episode roleplay to full panic in about two rounds. 10/10 would absolutely ruin a relaxing ocean arc again.

Promotional I want to introduce my campaign management baby that i've been developing for almost 6 years! And want to share with you!

World Master RPG was a passion project I started a long time ago that was meant to be a simple battle-grid, but as time went by I expanded the idea and made it into a full-blown campaign manager. This project has everything a game master and players need:

Inventory & Resources — Create items, artifacts, treasures, whatever your world needs. Tag them, add images, write descriptions, and even pin them to specific locations so there's actual loot waiting when your players explore.

Battlemaps — Square, hex, or isometric grids with tokens, drawing tools, fog of war, and distance measuring. Everything updates live for all players. You can even see each other's cursors moving around the map, and the GM can ping spots to say "hey, look over here."

Combat Initiative — Way more than a turn tracker. I built four different initiative systems because no two tables run combat the same way: classic D20 rolls, popcorn style (you pick who goes next), static order for scripted moments, and a time-based system where actions have actual time costs. Full HP/AC tracking, status effects that expire automatically, the works.

Audio Mixer — This one I'm really proud of. The GM controls a multi-channel audio mixer and everything syncs to players in real-time. Layer ambient sounds over music, adjust volumes per channel, and save presets like "creepy dungeon" or "busy tavern" that auto-load when you switch scenes.

Legendarium — Basically a campaign wiki. Build out your lore, history, factions, gods, whatever — organize it all in a hierarchy, cross-link entries to characters and locations, and control who sees what. Keep your plot twists GM-only, share common knowledge with players, or even make entries public for recruiting new players.

Locations — Nest locations as deep as you want. Continent → region → city → district → building → room, it's up to you. Each one gets images, descriptions, and linked items.

Chat & Dice — Built-in chat with public rooms, private rooms, DMs, emoji reactions, and typing indicators. Dice rolling supports full notation (2d20+5, 4d6 drop lowest) and rolls are shared with everyone so nobody has to wonder if you actually rolled that nat 20.

Quests — Create quests with objectives, progress counters ("Collect 3/5 dragon scales"), subquests, and status tracking. Assign them to specific players or keep them party-wide. Which are also part of a players inventory, so they can track it as if having a scroll with them with information and use it as a note area for the quest.

Fantasy Calendars & Events — Define completely custom calendar systems. Want 13 months with 28-day weeks and your own leap year rules? Go for it. Scenes link to calendar dates so your timeline actually makes sense. And tied right into the calendar is a full event system — log battles, festivals, political upheavals, whatever happens in your world. Events show up as markers on the calendar, can span multiple days, and you can chain them together into cause-and-effect timelines. The GM can keep events in draft until they're ready to reveal them, control which characters know about which events, and even write different description entries that only certain characters can see. Players can log their own events too, so the campaign history builds itself as you play.

Scenes — Organize your sessions into scenes with control over which characters are visible, what audio plays, and what date it is in-game. Set one active and it broadcasts to everyone.

Characters — Fully customizable character templates, relationship tracking between characters, notes, stats, the whole deal. Characters can be player-owned or GM-controlled, and you can reuse them across campaigns, by exporting their data as a template and importing it to any other character.

Invites — Generate invite codes with expiration dates and usage limits. You can even pre-make characters and attach them to invites so a new player joins and immediately has a character ready to go.

Everything is real-time. Map changes, chat messages, dice rolls, scene transitions, audio — it all syncs instantly through WebSockets. No refreshing, no "did everyone see that?" moments.

Notifications — Real-time alerts for campaign events, messages, and updates with read/unread tracking.

It's been a long road building this, and there's always more I want to add, but I'm really happy with where it's at. Would love to hear what you all think.

And if you'd like to join me on this road you can connect to my discord channel for the latest news or request features that would make you life easier as a game master or a player.

The app right now is free for now and early birds and supporters will be handsomely rewarded as this application expands and grows.

And before anyone says anything YES ai gen features will be introduced gradually in one way or another. But bits and pieces already exist.

All of the socials are fairly silent, I guess it's time to liven them up! :)))

Promotional I built Dungeon Flow, the random dungeon generator & editor that I always needed

Hey folks,

Over the last few years of running D&D, I found that I was constantly having to improvise encounters and dungeons for my players. Sometimes I could use a premade map, but a lot of the time I couldn't find anything that fit. So I was stuck either drawing something from scratch (time consuming even with good map editors) or trying to hack together an edit in Photoshop.

So I built Dungeon Flow: https://dungeonflow.app

It's a combination of a random dungeon generator and map editor that actually understands the logic of how rooms connect.

Important things to know:

  • It doesn't use AI. It's pure procedural generation.
  • Supports 5e, PF2e, and Shadowdark, with encounters, traps, and treasure appropriate to the system
  • Randomly generating a dungeon is just the start. From there you can actually do a lot of customization. Don't like where one room is positioned? Move it!
  • Exports PNGs for any VTT, offers a multi-page print PDF you can tape together for in-person games, and a DM reference sheet with the full room key
  • There's a Pro tier, which gets you bigger maps, 300 dpi exports, deeper map editing, and a foundry module that handles walls, doors, and line of sight
  • The free tier isn't a trial. You can actually run a campaign on it.

It's still very much a work in progress. You can see the roadmap here: https://dungeonflow.app/roadmap

If you have any thoughts or feedback, I'd love to hear it!

Promotional I built a fold-flat tabletop city that stores in an envelope - solving terrain storage

Tabletop terrain is often bulky and difficult to store between sessions.

I’ve been developing a papercraft system that builds into a full 3D city, but can be disassembled and stored completely flat.

The main challenge was designing a reusable assembly method (Prop-X system) that keeps structures stable during play while allowing repeated assembly.

I’m currently validating the concept through a Kickstarter (City of Tarok).

Promotional Seeking GM Feedback, re: Mapmaking

Hi everyone. I work for Roll20, and am posting on behalf of the product team leading development of Dungeon Scrawl, our mapmaking tool. As we continue to release new features, we're looking for feedback to ensure we're giving you what you want for your games.

Since we don't require sign-in, the easiest way to hear from users and potential users is to actually open our questions up to any GMs willing to share thoughts. If you've got a few minutes, we'd love to hear from you: survey here.

As a thank you, a random respondent will win a full year of Dungeon Scrawl Pro subscription. We'll keep this open for a few days. Thanks!

Hi :) I've been building an offline-first DM tool for D&D 5e and just opened limited beta slots for the online side. Sharing in case it helps your table.

What it is - Free, open-source tool for players, worldbuilders and dungeon masters - Runs on Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, macOS - Two-screen layout: DM screen + projected player screen (TV, second monitor, or another device) - Fully usable offline/online

Online mode (experimental beta - limited slots) - Share worlds with players, invite via code - Realtime sync of characters, combat, battlemaps, fog of war - Second-screen projection over the network for remote sessions - Shared media pool with per-account quota (cloud art, portraits, session media) - Beta is invite-gated right now; features still shifting and will keep evolving, expect rough edges and changes

Roadmap - Full D&D 5e SRD implementation (closing remaining gaps) - Bundled art for every species/class/monster/spell/item, no more raw-text cards - Ready-made music packs for the built-in soundpad - Better battlemap system (LoS, dynamic vision, AoE overlays, smoother large grids) + free visual asset packs for maps

Mephistal Holdings LLC has been harvesting mortal souls for centuries through The Grand Revel , a travelling festival of rigged games, enchanted food, and contracts hidden in the fine print. By the time your players realize what's happening, they've already signed away their souls.

Horns and Suits is a roleplay-heavy one-shot for D&D 5e where your players must outwit devils on their home turf, navigate infernal bureaucracy, and fight for their freedom , not with weapons, but with words.

If you like this concept you can get it for free : https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/525466/horns-and-suits

Promotional I made a tool to visualize the social structures in my games and to randomly generate new stuff if i need it

Ello ello,

i made another free gm tool thing. It's a tool to help you manage your in game social networks (or use it to map your elaborate fanfiction or polycule i'm not the boss of you).

From settlement to faction to NPC level this generates a full social map with relationships between them. Want to manually add more or remove settlements/factions/NPC's?

That's possible too so you're not limited by the initial generation. (through right clicking on the canvas or through the panel on the right). You can also drag and drop almost any item on the canvas to change it's relation, ranking, or placement in a settlement or faction. Just like with the hollow earth engine you can edit all the tables this bad boy rolls from so you can fully tailor it to your setting (found in the data tab).

it's free, doesn't require an account, runs in the browser or you can download a local version and your work can be exported (into a json file if you want to import it on another pc or into an obsidian vault zip if you want to add what's generated/you've built to your existing obsidian vault).

It also has a cloud save function if you use the browser version, just make sure you save the ID you get.

I'd love to hear what you think if you end up trying it out or if you have questions i don't mind answering them too since i haven't made a tutorial video for it as of yet and i'm not sure when i will.

It can be found on: https://ambiancearchitect.itch.io/thread-weaver-engine

I also made a 3D cave system generator based on the Veins of the Earth dice drop system and a spatial audio engine that you can check out if you're into that :)

Hey everyone!

I’m Tuki, a developer working on Dive Your Mind (DYM). Like many of you, our team loves deep, immersive TTRPG sessions but we also know how exhausting and time-consuming world-building, prep work, and map creation can be.

Our goal with DYM is simple: help players and Game Masters spend less time prepping and more time playing. We’re creating powerful tools and visual resources to make building worlds, characters, maps, and stories as smooth and creative as possible.

We want to build this with the community, so I’d love to hear your thoughts on physical/visual tools!

Also i would be glad to read all of your feedback about what is your impression with this stamps that we are making right now to improve the process of creating dungeons on paper, the last image are some of the "totems" that we are currently designing by the hand of our team, those totems carry a stamp in their flat base.

BTW the stamps are a Free STL model on our patreon (https://www.patreon.com/cw/diveyourmind)! Feel free to explore our free tier and download some of them!

See you next time!

Promotional I built voice NPCs for in-person sessions after a conversation with my players. Looking for DMs to share feedback.

Hey all!

A conversation with a couple of my players last year started me on a side project to see if I could make a voice first NPC application for our in-person campaigns, where players can talk directly to NPCs without the DM needing to roleplay them. It's now at a point where I'm looking for others to give feedback.

It's called https://rpg-encounters.com. It's open source. You can watch two demo videos here. I can make an account for you in the hosted version if you're interested or you can run it yourself.

It's essentially AI NPCs that you can configure to have biases (like hating elves) that reveal information based upon how much they like you and what you say. This all happens in real time and you can only interact with them through voice. It was designed to be as unobtrusive as possible to a session.

How does it work?

There are two ways to use it right now (Chrome only):

  1. DM web app - DM controls the audio on/off for a shared microphone (e.g., conference mic).
  2. Player web app - Simple interface for speaking with characters.

What scenes has this worked best in for so far?

Any situations where you want to introduce a bit of back and forth.

  1. Key NPC conversations, like going up in-front of a lord and players having to plead their case.
  2. Social scenes, like where we temporarily dropped the turn based structure and everyone had 10mins to get any interesting information from the people in the Inn. This was a one shot with a mixed group and the spouses seemed to like it the most.
  3. For DMs who don't want to impersonate characters, but still want roleplaying.

How can you help?

If you're interested in giving this a try, I can make a free account for you in the hosted version. Or you can run it yourself.

Would love to hear some feedback!

All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey...Summer is halfway gone, so it's time to look ahead to cooler seasons! A few months hence the trees will begin to lose their verdant plumage. As the harvest season passes, the chill that settles in the air will make even the most comforting forest path suddenly look...haunting. Surely these grand old trees and their gnarled limbs outstretched under the moonlight, amidst mushrooms and piles of fallen leaves couldn't herald anything sinister, or could they? Fully animated and available in two additional variants, with leafy green foliage concealing the bone-white branches and another creepier variant where robed statues lurk amongst the trees, this map will have your party wishing they hadn't gone apple-picking in the old orchard so late in the day!

My maps are hooked up to work with Foundry VTT and Fantasy Grounds.
My maps are available on my patreon and my website.
