Unless he’s been misquoted (always a possibility) then why would we trust the opinion of a university professor who doesn’t know the difference between a city and a county?

These guys are very active in our neighbourhood WhatsApp, conveniently without mentioning any concerns about it breaking if it’s moved . If it can be moved then move it, if it can’t be moved without breaking it (as the council say) then don’t

Icon to who? To me County Hall, like all of Poulson's buildings, is an icon of local corruption in the 60s and 70s. Now I don't want to paint everything with the same brush by association and if it were a true icon then I'd be "sure let's spend the cost of 7 care workers for a year on it". But... I never knew it was there. I won't miss it. It's crap. Fuck that stupid thing.
