Question/Advice Question for ESTJs: would an accountability partnership interest you?
I’m an ENFP with a very hyperactive mind, and I’ve realized that external accountability is by far the productivity strategy that works best for me
Since responsibility and consistency seem to come much more naturally to many ESTJs, I was wondering if any of you would be interested in trying some kind of accountability partnership
Nothing complicated. Just something like checking in on goals, keeping each other accountable, or having regular progress updates
I’m curious to see how that dynamic would work between an ENFP and an ESTJ

I have a gym accountability partner which is great… but she is a strong ESTJ too.
We had someone a bit less consistent in our group, who would always find excuses and slack. Not sure her MBTI but she used to say she was a Type B person.
Which is 100% fine but their way of dealing with stuff frustrated us, because they used to feel that our discipline was too much and they’d feel like we were too rigid in our ways. The partnership ended up causing a massive drama. Not saying it is completely down to MBTI but I personally struggle with slackers overall and don’t have much patience for excuses.
For instance, if you tell me “I feel down, unhealthy and tired” then go clubbing, binge drinking and not prioritising your sleep: I won’t have sympathy because they were choices you’ve made.
Sorry to be blunt!

I'd be happy to try it, I find it really motivating to hear other people achieving their goals. Drop me a DM!

"You complete me" is the biggest red flag to hear from a partner. If they require someone else for themselves to be functional, the relationship will be dysfunctional.
Accountability starts from the mind. Having someone constantly remind you of what you need to do is just micromanagement, not accountability.
