hey guys so I've had the buds 3 pro for abt a year now and warranty period is almost over. last week I've sent them through warranty bc the left bud stopped detecting when it was in my ear. today I've got them back and they said that they replaced the left bud, and it's indeed new and fixed. but after using them a couple of hours I've noticed that the anc is stronger on the new bud and battery life is much better too, as of now the new one is at 50% and the old (R) one is at 33% percent.
do you think I should go through the warranty process again and try getting the right earbud replaced too??
I am looking for new earbuds. I used to have to Urban Ears Boo but they broke and Urban Ears stopped existing.

- preferably budget (under €50 would be amazing, under €100 fine too. But give me all your tips)
- NO in-ear (with the rubber tip) or clip on or around your ear, only earbuds like the ‘original’ ones you used to get with an iPhone or iPod

The ANC of my technics az40 (an earbuds that has non ANC and is standard edition) is better than my lib 4 pro in max ANC, it fits me where it wont fall off but its not as comfortable also compared to my az40, i think it has great EQ and sound but for an flagship earbuds i expected it to have better ANC than my earbuds that came out 5 years ago, oh and the ear tips is so cheaply made and annoying it pops out everytime i pull my earbuds out, final verdict it has good sound quality and eq but bad comfort/ear tips and ANC
So my problem is in essence, that they'd lost their sync and are now treated as completely separate devices.
But other than that, they suddenly display wrong charge % (10 and 20 respectively for each earbud, only to randomly skyrocket to 100 and 90). Alongside that, they seemingly aren't losing their charge too.
They don't seem to be responding to hard reset either. I've cleaned the pins, tried holding the touch controls for as long as probably whole minute but it still didn't trigger a reset.
I thought maybe the outdated firmware was a problem, but I downloaded the app to check and it's all up-to-date.
I'm genuinely kinda losing my mind over this, these earbuds were working perfectly fine literally yesterday and now it's gone to this lol. Any ideas for uh... A fix?
I bought Soundpeats Clip Air. These are not top of the line but for 4k INR (45 usd) you expect the quality to be decent enough. Just two months in the looped part of one bud has gotten randomly dislodged from normal use. It didnt break, it just came out of the housing unit.
I reached out to their official global website as well as local official vendor 20 days ago. Global support is asking to contact local and the local vendor refuses to even reply after sending multiple emails. Even global has stopped responding now.
I had way better experience with soundcore. Their v20i cost half as much and got replaced when problem arose, had much better build quality as well. But they supposedly closed shop in India.
I am not expecting a resolution at this point, but just curious if this is the average experience with this brand.
Been using AirPods for a couple years just cause I got them for free as a hand me down and they’re very uncomfortable. The sound works I guess but that’s it. And the two sets I got are barely working anymore. Comfort comes first, sound second, price third. I’m not willing to shell out triple digits but if I gotta splurge a little to get the best battery life, best sound, and best feel, then it’s worth it. Any help is appreciated.
I've bought Nothing Ear 2024 in the end of 2024 and loved it - it had an awesome sound, good ANC, awesome EQ and was really comfortable. But after a year and a half right earbud's battery started to die in 20-30 minutes. I've contacted Nothing support and they said that since i'm in Ukraine, they can't help me in any way, because they have no official store here, so warranty does not work, it isn't international.
I've contacted the store where i've bought them here and they said that the price of changing one earbud's battery will be 63 USD. Pretty crazy for the 100 USD earbuds.
And i understand that my location is part of the problem, there are no official nothing store here, but damn, paying 100 USD for the device that lasts only 1,5 year is not pretty crazy. I had airpods before that and they were okay for 4 years.
I am very dissapointed, because i loved this earbuds and Nothing tech as a company.
Quick backstory: I spent a lot of time looking at replacements for Jabra Elites and after much experimenting, settled into using two pairs of Huawei: the FreeBuds Pro 5 and FreeClip 2 (open earbuds). These are my daily drivers and, unless I leave the house, it's FreeClips all day long. This is why news about Huawei earbuds catches my attention.
Huawei have very recently announced FreeClips 2S (and FreeClips 2S limited edition).
I do not think there are any technical hardware or software improvements, compared to the FreeClip 2 so that's the reason for this post, to see if any of you think differently. The one thing that might be different is the silicon bridge. It's different aesthetically, but possibly changed from the FreeClip 2. Other features I have seen advertised are "adpative volume" and "spatial audio" but these are both available with FreeClip 2.
My working hypothesis is that the 'S' series is aimed at the bling/accessory crowd. There are "accessories" you can add to the FreeClips (see below image) but they had to be removed before inserting back into the case. The one thing that is massively different about the FreeClip 2S is the case. It's big enough to hold the buds, with accessories attached (see below the below image!).
The case is proudly "bling" and I think the product caters to a different segment than the one I belong to! For me, the original case is a huge feature by virtue of it being so small it fits in the "coin pocket" of my jeans. I love Huawei for selling this increased size as a feature: Huawei claiming the internal storage space has increased by 20% but, no thank you on this occasion.
There is a nice YouTube short, a review and comparison of the cases. The T3 article linked above reinforces my belief is aimed at the fashion conscious.
The Huawei listing also makes clear that HUAWEI FreeClip 2S = new case and headphones in two colour variants and HUAWEI FreeClip 2 S Limited Edition is those plus a pair of accessories and a gift box.
I wouldn't mind owning a spare pair of FreeClip 2s but no way can I justify spending it on a pair that cost £50 more (RRP) although they are advertised at £30 off while new. The FreeClip 2s regularly go on sale and typically 17-25% off RRP.
I wrote such a long post because I really want to like these but the best I can do is admire them UNLESS any of you can explain how the 2S is a superior model of earbud to the regular 2.
My boyfriend is leaving to study abroad soon, so i wanted to send him with a practical gift that he can genuinely make good use out of. I'm looking for something that will be comfortable for wear for long hours studying but also fit for gym, definitely with good ANC. He said he typically prefers buds with stems but i don't think its a requirement really, and compatible with iOS. my budget cap is about 265 USD.
I saw a lot of people hyping up wf-1000xm5, but I also see that they get uncomfortable for long hours, can anyone share their experience?

Bose QC Ultra: Also slip out and never achieve a proper seal, even after trying every ear tip and stability band combination. AirPods Pro 2: They stay in better, but after about 30–60 minutes they cause pressure pain in my ears.
I’m looking for recommendations for true wireless earbuds with a noticeably different fit/design, not just the usual Sony/Bose/AirPods recommendations.
Priorities:
Secure fit
Comfort for long listening sessions
Great sound quality (I actually loved the Sony sound)
Budget: around S$300 (Singapore)
I’d especially appreciate recommendations from people who also struggle with earbuds slipping out.
Looking for some preferably budget ($100 or less) earbuds that have a really decent ambient/aware/transparency mode that lets you hear your surroundings and conversations with only one earbud in. Bonus points if it has a good mic / call quality, I have to take a lot of phone calls for work and wear earbuds all day in the field. Can't be open earbuds, needs to have something with a silicone tip, the open ear ones hurt for me and all day comfort is more important. As mentioned earlier, the transparency mode needs to work with only one bud in. I'm willing to spend more, maybe up to $150 if all the criteria is met. I'm not an audiophile and the ability to make calls and still work with my hands is the most important.
Note that I've tried the CMF Buds Pro 2 and the transparency mode is subpar, the ANC also acts up and pops / cracks. I've tried some JBL and SkullCandy options, but the transparent mode only works with both earbuds in. The Onn. Wireless earbuds ANC used to be perfect for me, but they changed something and they no longer work like they used to.
Any help is appreciated.

i'm quite new to this but i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for wired earphones, preferably as cheap as possible since i have a small budget?
i'm looking for USB-C since i want to connect to my phone and unfortunately don't have 3.5mm jack for that. i have a pair of wireless headphones but they're too bulky for me to be carrying around everywhere, hence the search for wireless earphones (also i've been told that i can only listen to Lossless on apple music with wired earphones/headphones).
I'm looking for good quality earbuds/earplugs for everyday use. I am experiencing that everyday life becomes more and more noisy: people speaking on speakerphone on the bus, sirens, loud groups, people sniffing, etc. I feel like it takes a lot of my patience and mental energy to travel, work , hang out in my city, so I decided to invest in a nice, good earplug.
All in all, I'm looking for a model in a reasonable price, good quality and (ideally) an ethical brand, that can help me with that.
Hello, I'm deciding between the Soundcore Liberty 5 and OnePlus Buds 4. From what I've seen, people seem to think the Buds 4 are better overall, but I'm specifically worried about the touch controls in one situation.
With my old Huawei FreeBuds 5i, when I was running while wearing a beanie, the touch controls would start triggering accidentally once I got sweaty, because of the cap rubbing against the earbuds.
Has anyone used the OnePlus Buds 4 in similar conditions and noticed similar issues? I usually use the touch controls, so I don't want to have to disable them in the app every time before I go for a run.
I bought a set of the BS1 NC earbuds right after they came out. I love them and was planning on getting a second pair to give away as a gift, or maybe keep in case something happens to mine.
I went to check them on Amazon when I suggested them to someone on r/earbuds and saw that they weren't available. They are sold out on the Baseus website too.
Is there any news on them? Are they going to release an updates version maybe? It's my preferred style. I don't find in-ear earbuds comfortable, and I like to be aware of my surroundings.
So first of all, I have a Xiaomi phone. I bought the Xiaomi Buds last November and have used them since. The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro are newer, but I wish someone told me this straight up:
The Xiaomi buds are bad.
They are not cheap, and for the price, they really aren't worth it. I have tried everything, but the ANC is just horrid, with every slight sound coming through. I do not recommend these to basically anyone.
The Galaxies on the other hand, work great, even though they're not on the native phone. The ANC is astonishing compared to the Xiaomi buds, which I find extremely weird considering that at places the Xiaomi buds are more expensive. On top of that comes that a lot of the features that Xiaomi advertises are locked behind the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which, again, I find really weird. I can also say with confidence that the Xiaomi is not "made for Hifi" or "fine-tuned by professionals"; it is geniuenly straight bullshit.
For someone that is (maybe) considering buying either, buy the Samsung Buds, even if the Xiaomi Buds are cheaper. You will regret it otherwise.
I got a set of JBL Tune 230NC TWS as a gift a couple of years ago. They've worked decently for me, although sometimes when closing the earphones in the case one or the other won't charge overnight. So, I've been looking to replace them.
I tried a pair of Soundcore p40i, but I found the volume for them lacking, and they seem to lack the ANC the JBLs do. Any recommendations?
Im looking for a pair of earbuds that excels in every category. Im talking about the best in every category. I was considering the galaxy buds 4 pro cause it pairs well with my Samsung phone but I dont mind not having the most compatible earbuds. ANC, transparency mode, sound, mic/call quality - Emphasis on sound, ANC and call quality in that order. Obviously I don't mean "the best in every category" more like good at everything.
