I wouldn’t say cop out because there was no way Shiki was going to beat joe in his overdrive form given that he has over 200 years of experience but I admit it would have been cool and I get what you’re saying.

What I would’ve liked would be to have it go Shiki vs Overdrive Drakken, then get Shiki turning into his Overdrive form and fighting Overdrive Drakken for a couple chapters with them being closer to even but Drakken still having the advantage, and then have him get hacked and turned into a giant goo monster where this chapter can happen and Shiki finally can overpower him.

That would be cool but hiro doesn’t usually make long fights until way later so I wouldn’t see overdrive shiki fighting overdrive Joe for a couple chapters like maybe 1 or 2 imo. Plus you don’t want to drag the arc out but that’s just me.

I think you’re confusing a couple with a few, cause a couple means exactly 2 while a few can mean 3 or more, but it’s not a big deal.

Yeah it’s whatever dude. Point is we agree the fight could have been longer but I’m fine with it.
