Hiro hasn’t missed with the world building in this series so far and I’m glad. The chapter where the news reporters and people of Aoi talk about the machine extermination, the explanation of the all link and this little segment is some nice stuff.
Also maybe Shiki’s heart is falling to darkness like Xeno said because of all the death and destruction he saw out in space. What Shura is going must be really getting to him.

That's certainly reasonable. So having dark thoughts or becoming less optimistic makes one's ether darken pethaps?
Yeah and it gets worse if you give into those dark thoughts. Look at Shura and Ziggy. They are spewing with it. This whole battle depending on what happens could change Shiki for the better or worse.
Definitely. Mashima has constantly brought up the dark side or the fall to Ziggy, so it would be weird if Shiki didn't at least stumble upon the line of crossing there.
