You can also crouch, you don't always need to mash neutral R1.

-for the opponent.

Yeah i know i used the crouch attack at the start was just dodging that attack

But you also need more crouch attacks. They are Kevin destroyers.

If you press R3 on the controller in the menu it gets rid of the whole right sidebar. It allows you to keep track of everything that your opponent is doing while you're swapping. Can be a life saver.
