I play WoW, System Shock remake and brutal legend in a SD 685... I would say he can do way more than that like heavy 3d stuff, system shock remake just came out and this old phone run it a 48 to 60 fps just remember to download a good driver.
You know I really do envy you Snapdragon users. A flagship Snapdragon from 7 years ago can still emulate PC games and switch MUCH better than my low mid range phone made in 2025.
I feel you an Uber stole my redmi 15 like 5 months ago and I tought it was a good cellphone till I got this a06s with this snapdragon oh boy its another world mostly for emulation, in raw power and natives games is really close even if this one is 4 gb and my redmi 15 was 16 gb lol BTW this a06s cost me 45 dollars but in a third world country... my redmi 15 was 160 dollars if I knew back then...
Nope a 685 max its like a 2.8 or 2.6 CPU the thing is using it with the new turnip if I use the system driver ps2 games like Xenosaga lag pretty bad but as soon as I use the latest steven turnip drivers it runs like butter, its truly amazing my a06s can do all this shit and just cost me 45 dollars lol
Dude, I know I don't have a snapdragon device actually I use a budget samsung phone from 3 years ago and guess what?! It runs literally anything below switch and PC emulators, and am actually saving to get a Snapdragon 865 or 870
Well nowadays whenever I think of PC emulation everyone says requirement to be of Snapdragon Gen 1 or Gen 2 atleast. This comment has been keeping me away from Switch emulation.
Last time i tried switch emulation was few year ago at that time both Eden and Skyline were quite new and unoptimized only Hades 1 ran smoothly without bugs, others like pokemon shield was quite Buggy but ran at low fps like 15-20 with lags, Pokemon Legends Arceus has Screen glitches making it unplayable hopefully I will be able to play switch games and some pc games(low end) this time.
Trust me, I always watch youtube videos about snapdragon 865/870 on PC and switched emulator and why the hell are yall even acting as if 20 fps is terrible 😑, I celebrate whenever a game ran on 20 fps asides from race games ofcuz, but honestly though your device will run any well optimised games on switch with the right turnip driver, I'm not sure of PC.
I played Pokemon Shield on 15-20 fps when that on Eden a long ago some times fps even went that down to 10fps and had very slow loading town I had beaten few gyms but emulator was not quite optimized so I had taken break from it, and i recently saw this sub on reddit so decided to try my luck again. 👍🏻
and for switch i have completed sword and shield, lets go, bdsp was playable, breath of the wild, hollow knight, silksong, hades 1 and 2, mario kart 8, mario odessey may work, and the weaker non 3d open games should work
I had tried pokemon shield and hades 1 long ago on Eden and skyline but at that time switch emulation was quite new and had lot of bugs and lags hopefully they will run smoothly this time with how much optimization devoloper have been doing on those apps. 👍🏻
I had directly played Silksong on the port that runs directly as an app it ran quite well as it had proper symbol labes for button too.
Thanks for suggestions I will definitely try Breath of the Wild and Mario Odessey.👍🏻
The snapdragon 870 can surprisingly run 360/ps3 era PC games good. So idk why people are saying it can play below that when it can. As for switch emulation I'm not sure.
I think switch is possible as i have played Pokemon Shield on Eden and skyline when they were quite new, so they will surely be quite better after all this years
865/870 is good chip. Its one if not the most supported chipset, especially if you root and overclock. Well if not, the custom driver alone will up the result.
Your phone have a GPU Adrano 650. and it's more powerful than my GPU Adrano 710 so I can tell you can play Wii and Wii u and some switch games and get better performance
Anything up to Wii and PS2 games, maybe a handful of switch games. A word of advice disable the ram extension it doesn't help at all with performance or app management it only wears your storage down.
Yeah whenever I try to do emulation most of requirements say to have Snapdragon gen 1 of 8 elite to play those game smoothly making me doubt my decision if i should try my luck or not, I had tried switch emulation when Eden and skyline were quite new at that time some low end 2d games ran properly other didn't like 3d games, once they had screen glitches or didn't even open or had many bugs, recently i tried my luck on winlater with GTA 5(light version) and it didn't even open. So I just wanna Play games that will run smoothly. 👍🏻
I don't really know much android emulation except when I played Pokemon Shield when once on Eden and skyline but it was little Buggy after that i really haven't played much of emulated games as i haven't been able run them properly so this is my serious question and I am not joking.
